Tony Gibson, crew chief for Ryan Newman's No. 39 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team, has been placed on NASCAR probation until June 27 for violating Section 12-1 and Sections 12-4G and 9-4A (Crew chief assumes responsibility for the actions of his team members).

Andrew Rueger, a crew member for the No. 39 team, has been fined $5,000 and placed on NASCAR probation until June 27 for violating Section 12-1 (failure to comply with a directive from a NASCAR official). The violation occurred post-race when Newman's team was involved with Kurt Busch's team. Busch was fined $50,000 for the incident.

NASCAR has fined Kurt Busch, driver of the No. 51 car in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, $50,000 and placed him on NASCAR probation until July 25 for his actions during the May 12 race at Darlington Raceway.

Busch violated Section 12-1 "reckless driving on pit road during the race; involved in an altercation with another competitor after the completion of the race" of the 2012 NASCAR Rule Book. Additionally, Craig Strickler, a crew member for the No. 51 team, has been fined $5,000 and placed on NASCAR probation until Dec. 31 for violating Section 12-1 "interfering with a member of the broadcast media". The violations occurred post-race.

Joey Coulter will make his second Camping World Truck Series appearance at the 1.5-mile Charlotte Motor Speedway this Friday night.

The 2011 Sunoco Rookie of the Year made his debut at the Concord, N.C. facility last May where he started 16th and finished 23rd while completing 100 percent of the contested laps. With four races complete, Coulter sits 12th in the Camping World Truck Series driver championship point standings, 55 markers behind leader Timothy Peters.-Richard Childress Racing

Ty Dillon has no previous starts in the Camping World Truck Series at Charlotte, but he has some history at the track.

Dillon made his racing debut at Charlotte in a bandolero car in 2006. Although the young driver hasn't competed at CMS, he does have some impressive stats on 1.5-mile tracks in his seven Camping World Truck Series starts. With five starts on a 1.5-mile or larger track, Dillon holds an average starting position of 8.4 coupled with an average finishing position of 8.8 and one top-five and four top-10 finishes.-Richard Childress Racing

Austin Dillon has eight previous starts at Iowa Speedway in four different series.

In the Nationwide Series he finished 28th after starting 16th in 2009 and 10th after starting 3rd in May 2011. In the Camping World Truck Series he finished 12th after starting 9th in 2009, 1st after starting 1st in 2010 and 2nd after starting 5th in 2011. In the K&N Pro Series East Division he finished 6th after starting 1st in 2008 and finished 9th after starting 6th in 2009. In ARCA Racing Series he finished 2d after starting 30th in 2009. The Emporia, Va., driver made both starts at Iowa Speedway last season, earning one pole award and two top-five finishes. He also led 38 laps and holds an average starting position of 3.5 and average finishing position of 4.0.-Richard Childress Racing

Jeff Burton has made seven appearances in the Sprint Showdown and qualified 12 times for the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race over his 19-year career.

Burton won the 2003 Sprint Showdown and finished ninth in last year's event. His best qualifying effort of fourth-place for the two-segment, 40-lap event came in 1995.-Richard Childress Racing

Since the implementation of NASCAR's Loop Data Statistics in 2006, Kevin Harvick has competed in seven Sprint All-Star races.

He ranks second in Closers (moving up 14 positions in the last 10 percent of laps), fifth in Laps Led (43) and sixth in Green Flag Passes (206). Harvick has made 11 starts in the All-Star Race. In those events he has scored one win (2007), two top fives and six top-10 finishes. He’s led 62 laps and completed 81.4 percent of the laps run in the race since 2001 (814 of 1,000 laps). Saturday night marks Paul Menard's first appearance in the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race.

The No. 27 CertainTeed/Menards team qualified on the merit of the Brickyard 400 win at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (July 2011). He has made five starts in the Sprint Showdown, earning his best result of fourth in the 2010 event.-Richard Childress Racing

Carl Edwards will make his seventh appearance in the Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend.

In his previous starts he has one win (2011), three top-five and four top-10 finishes. The No. 99 Fastenal Blue Team will be unloading chassis RK-782 for this weekend’s event. Edwards raced this Ford Fusion at California in March of this year where he finished fifth. Roush Fenway Racing has won four Sprint Cup Series All-Star races. Mark Martin won the event in 1998 and 2005, Matt Kenseth took the checkered flag in 2004 and Carl Edwards in 2011.-Roush Fenway Racing

Sam Hornish Jr.’s return to Iowa Speedway represents his third start at the venue; he has one NNS and one Izod IndyCar Series start.

In 2011 he started the NNS race third and finished 24th while substituting for an injured Brad Keselowski. After nine races, Hornish and the Detroit Genuine Parts Dodge team are fourth in the NNS Championship point standings. This weekend the No. 12 Detroit Genuine Parts Dodge Challenger will race chassis PRS -226 which last saw action at the recent Bristol race.-Penske Racing
