The Portland Tribune reports that Larry Drew's contract option for next season is unlikely to be exercised.

Although it's certainly possible the head coach won't be retained, take this with a grain of salt right now. The fact that the report is from Portland rather than Atlanta is odd, but the Hawks will have to make a decision on its head coach before long.

Greg Oden's agent, Mike Conley Sr., said that his client has interested in joining the Miami Heat.

Despite Oden saying he planned to take the 2012-13 season off, Conley reiterated that Oden is not retiring and could be "effective and in shape" by December or January. We'll file it away under speculation at this time, and we have serious doubts that Oden will be ready to play next season after stating he planned to take the entire year off.

Luol Deng will meet with the Bulls to discuss how he'll treat his wrist injury in the offseason.

Deng plans to play in the Olympics for Great Britain, and if he undergoes surgery afterward, Deng would likely be sidelined until December. "We've got to sit down in the next week and get a real feel for where it's at, the priority being Luol's health, for him and for us," Gar Forman said. There's a real possibility the Bulls begin next season without both Derrick Rose and Deng in the starting lineup.

Jeff Caplan of ESPN Dallas suggests Shawn Marion could be a trade candidate this summer.

Marion, 34, has two years remaining on his contract and the Mavericks are looking to get younger. Caplan also calls Marion an amnesty candidate, but we believe that's more likely for Brendan Haywood. Marion is slated to earn approximately $18 million over the next two seasons.

Paul Pierce is averaging just 10.5 points per game against the Sixers in the second round.

Pierce has shot just 5-of-20 from the floor and is very clearly still bothered by his sprained MCL. Despite Pierce saying his knee was "fine" after Monday's loss, he's playing at less than 100 percent and it's impacting his ability to play his traditional game.
May 16 - 9:22 AM

Blake Griffin admitted that his knee injury is impacting his stamina.

"At tipoff, I felt ready to go," Griffin said. "But throughout the course of the game, I was feeling a little more fatigued a little bit quicker than normal." He had 15 points on 17 shots in Game 1, and he'll have to be better than that for the Clippers to make this a series against San Antonio.
May 16 - 9:17 AM

Mike Brown said that Ramon Sessions needs to be more aggressive on the offensive end of the court.

"He's got to knock some shots down whether they're from 19 feet or that little floater he shoots in order to loosen the defense up," Brown said. "He's got to be more aggressive than he was. We're going to have to live with some of his mistakes." Oklahoma City has noticeably ignored defending him away from the basket, and Sessions will have to prove that his improved perimeter game is for real.

Shelvin Mack plans to work on improving his shooting during the offseason.

"The statistics aren't very good," he said. Mack averaged just 3.6 points on 40 percent shooting during his rookie season, and he'll look to improve on both of those marks moving forward. We expect the Wizards to target a veteran point guard who can help Mack develop while also serving as a mentor.

Eric Bledsoe hit 10-of-16 shots and a 3-pointer on his way to 23 points, five rebounds, four assists, three steals and a block in Tuesday's loss to the Spurs.

Chris Paul, Randy Foye and Mo Williams didn't bring their A-game tonight, and Bledsoe stepped up his game. If you drafted in him a fantasy playoff league, it looks like he should have a nice series against the Spurs, although it could be a short one.
May 16 - 12:36 AM

DeAndre Jordan had seven points and nine rebounds in 23 minutes of Tuesday's Game 1 loss to the Spurs.

He didn't block a shot, but at least looked better than he did in most of his games against the Grizzlies. The blocks should follow, as the Clippers will need him against the deep Spurs. Caron Butler added 15 points and three 3-pointers, but the Clippers never really challenged the Spurs tonight.
May 16 - 12:32 AM

Blake Griffin had 15 points, nine rebounds, four assists, a steal and three blocks on 7-of-17 shooting in Game 1's loss to the Spurs.

Griffin, already dealing with a sore left knee, took a shot to his right one, but looked pretty good playing through the injuries. He's not at 100 percent, but looks good enough that it would be surprising to see him miss any upcoming games for the Clippers.
May 16 - 12:31 AM

Chris Paul hit just 3-of-13 shots, didn't make a 3-pointer and committed five TOs in Tuesday's Game 1 loss, but did have six points, three rebounds, 10 assists and five steals.

Paul's groin injury remains a concern, but he made it through tonight's game, apparently unscathed. Look for him to play better in Game 2.
May 16 - 12:29 AM

Kawhi Leonard had 16 points, six rebounds, three steals, a block and three 3-pointers on 5-of-8 shooting in another start in Tuesday's Game 1 win over the Clippers.

He hit just 41 3-pointers in 39 starts in the regular season, so don't expect the 3-point output to continue going forward.
May 16 - 12:26 AM
Boris Diaw - F/C - Spurs

Boris Diaw had seven points, 12 rebounds, five assists, three steals, a block and a 3-pointer in Tuesday's Game 1 win over the Clippers.

He's starting at center and despite hitting just 3-of-9 shots tonight, looks like a much better guy to own than Tiago Splitter (four points in 12 minutes) and DeJuan Blair (1 minute).
May 16 - 12:23 AM

Danny Green got the start on Tuesday and had 15 points, six rebounds, two assists, two blocks and three 3-pointers on 6-of-11 shooting in an easy 108-92 Game 1 win over the Clippers.

Green was a popular fantasy postseason-league pick and is paying off thus far. He'll have some off nights, but should cruise deep into the playoffs and continue to help his owners going forward.
