Chi Chi Gonzalez gave up five runs on 10 hits and two walks over five frames but escaped with a no-decision in Monday's 9-6 win over the Yankees.

He needed 87 pitches to cover the five innings, striking out just two batters. Gonzalez was up for a start with the Rangers dealing with multiple injuries to their rotation. He could get another shot this weekend in Minnesota but can be ignored for fantasy purposes.

Sam Dyson converted his 16th save of the season with a scoreless ninth inning in Monday's win over the Yankees.

The Rangers plated four runs in the top of the ninth inning after a rain delay of three hours and 35 minutes, resulting in Dyson netting a save around 2:45 am. He's nailed down 16-of-17 save chances this season.

Ivan Nova was charged with four runs over five innings of work in Monday's loss to the Rangers.

He yielded six hits and walked three, settling for a no-decision in the rain-lengthened game. Nova has given up at least four runs in six out of his last seven starts and might not be long for the rotation. He's slated to face the Padres this weekend.

Adrian Beltre drove in the tying and go-ahead run in the top of the ninth inning of Monday's win over the Yankees.

There was a three hour and thirty-five minute rain delay in the top of the frame and when they resumed play Kirby Yates took over for Aroldis Chapman. He allowed two hits and hit three batters, with Beltre pushing two runs across with a single and Elvis Andrus driving in two more to cushion the lead.

Mark Teixeira went 3-for-5 with a solo homer in Monday's loss to the Rangers.

Teixeira's dinger off of Luke Jackson in the seventh inning looked like it would prove to be the winning run, but the Rangers came back with four runs in the top of the ninth in the rain-delayed marathon. The Yankees' first baseman has gone deep in two of three games since returning from the disabled list.

Will Harris pitched out of a bases-loaded jam in the ninth to earn his seventh save as the Astros topped the Angels 4-2 on Monday.

The ninth started with a strikeout/wild pitch that allowed Johnny Giavotella to reach. Back-to-back singles followed, loading the bases with no outs. Fortunately, Harris had the bottom of the Angels' order to deal with at that point and no pinch-hitters in sight. He struck out Jett Bandy and then induced a comebacker from Andrelton Simmons that turned into a 1-2-3 double play.

Matt Shoemaker was denied a win after throwing six scoreless innings Monday against the Astros.

Par for the course for Shoemaker of late. He left with a 2-0 lead, but Mike Morin and Deolis Guerra combined to blow that in the seventh. Shoemaker finishes June 0-3 despite a 2.14 ERA and a 45/5 K/BB ratio in 42 innings over six starts.

A.J. Reed's early struggles continued Monday, as he went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts against the Angels.

Reed is 0-for-10 with six strikeouts and two walks through three games. One wonders if the Astros might give him a little breather on Tuesday in order to regroup.
