Aledmys Diaz is expected to miss a few games until the swelling above his right eye subsides.
Diaz is with the club and in good spirits after getting struck above the eye by a foul ball during Monday's game against the Royals. He went through the full concussion protocol after Monday's game, with everything coming back negative. Greg Garcia is starting in his place on Tuesday and should continue to see action until Diaz is cleared to return.
Derek Norris is not in the Padres starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Orioles.
He'll take a seat in the first game of a brief two-game series against the O's. Christian Bethancourt will suit up behind the plate and bat sixth against Ubaldo Jimenez on Tuesday.
Trevor Story (finger) has returned to the Rockies starting lineup on Tuesday.
Story tested out his injured finger before the game and it appears to have held up just fine. He'll bat second in a premium matchup at home against Blue Jays' southpaw JA Happ.
Felix Hernandez (calf) is scheduled to throw a 25-to-30 pitch bullpen session off of a mound on Tuesday.
It's the first time that the veteran right-hander has thrown off a mound since sustaining his calf injury on June 1. He's on track to rejoin the M's starting rotation around the All-Star break.
Charlie Furbush (shoulder) is scheduled to throw live batting practice on Saturday.
The left-hander threw a successful 35-pitch bullpen session on Tuesday and felt great afterwards. He's getting closer to a minor league rehab assignment and should be able to rejoin the M's bullpen at some point around the All-Star break.
Robbie Ray said Tuesday that he expects to make his scheduled start on Sunday.
The left-hander is dealing with a blood blister on his pitching hand. The 24-year-old left-hander has been a disappointing fantasy proposition this season, carrying a 4.59 ERA and 1.54 WHIP into Sunday's matchup against the Giants.
Rangers manager Jeff Bannister said Tuesday that Yu Darvish (shoulder, neck) isn't expected to rejoin the team's rotation before the All-Star break.
Darvish just returned to throwing off of a mound on Sunday and is on tap for a simulated game on Wednesday. From there, he'd likely need a few minor league rehab starts before returning to the big league club. If all goes well, he could rejoin the rotation coming out of the All-Star break.
Charlie Blackmon is not in the Rockies starting lineup for Tuesday night's tilt against the Blue Jays.
There's nothing wrong with the speedy center fielder, it's just a routine day of rest. Brandon Barnes will start in his place against JA Happ and the Jays.
