Marlins activated RHP Nefi Ogando from the 15-day disabled list and optioned him to Triple-A New Orleans.

Ogando has been sidelined since May 9 due to a fractured rib on his right side. He'll continue to work his way back into game shape at the minor league level and should get another chance with the Marlins later in the summer.

Trevor Story is heading for X-rays on his hand after being drilled by a pitch leading off the ninth inning against the Diamondbacks on Sunday.

Story was drilled leading off the ninth inning, then came around to score the game-winning run on Mark Reynolds' walk-off blast. The Rockies are hopeful that his hand isn't broken, but it remains a very real possibility at this time. Expect an update on his status shortly.

Phillies manager Pete Mackanin announced Sunday that Adam Morgan will shift to the bullpen with the return of Vincent Velasquez to the rotation on Monday.

Rather than head back to Triple-A, it was Elvis Araujo who got the boot instead. Morgan is expected to work in middle and long relief, while continuing to provide rotation depth in the event that they'll need an emergency starter on short notice.

Phillies activated RHP Vincent Velasquez from the 15-day disabled list.

He'll return to the Phillies rotation on Monday against the Diamondbacks. Prior to being shut down for two weeks due to a right biceps strain, Velasquez posted a 3.65 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 73/22 K/BB ratio over 61 2/3 innings. Fantasy owners in weekly leagues will likely want to roll the dice on his first start back, as he's on tap for two starts next week.

Phillies optioned LHP Elvis Araujo to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

The 24-year-old southpaw has struggled in his time with the big league club, registering a 5.87 ERA, 1.91 WHIP and 28/13 K/BB ratio across 23 innings. He'll continue to provide bullpen depth in the minor leagues.

Mark Reynolds blasted a walk-off two-run homer on Sunday, powering the Rockies to a 9-7 victory over the Diamondbacks.

The Rockies clubbed four home runs in total on the afternoon, with Trevor Story's game-tying blast in the seventh and Reynolds' game winner proving to be the difference. He finished the afternoon 1-for-4 and also delivered a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning. He has been a very valuable addition to the Rockies lineup this season, slashing a healthy .291/.356/.462 with eight long balls and 31 RBI.

Chad Bettis was hit hard in a no-decision against the Diamondbacks on Sunday, giving up seven runs on 12 hits in five-plus innings of work.

Bettis walked three and struck out three on Sunday. Coors Field can be a difficult place for anyone to pitch, but Bettis' outing on Sunday was bad even for his home ballpark. Fortunately for him, the Rockies offense provided enough run support to take him off the hook for the loss. He'll bring an unsightly 5.78 ERA and 1.53 WHIP into Saturday's start against the Dodgers in Los Angeles. Away from home, he's at least worth a look as a streaming option in NL-only and deep mixed leagues.
Jun 26 - 7:54 PM

Paul Goldschmidt went 2-for-5 and drove home four runs on Sunday, but it wasn't enough to lead his club to victory over the Rockies.

Goldschmidt blasted a two-run triple in the fourth inning that increased the D'Backs advantage to 5-1. He later added a two-run single in the sixth that gave them a 7-6 lead, though they would fail to score the remainder of the ballgame. He has certainly picked up the pace offensively after a slow start and is now slashing .301/.436/.522 with 14 homers, 51 RBI and 10 stolen bases.
