Juan Lagares (thumb) has resumed baseball activities at the Mets' spring training complex.
There's no word yet on when he'll be ready for a rehab assignment. Lagares has decided to put off surgery on his sprained left thumb for now, although we'll have to see how he progresses.
Blue Jays recalled RHP Bo Schultz from Triple-A Buffalo.
Schultz has put up a 4.24 ERA and 14/3 K/BB ratio over 17 relief innings for Buffalo this season. He'll be used in low-leverage situations.
Blue Jays placed RHP Gavin Floyd on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder tightness.
Floyd had to depart Saturday's game due to the ailment. It's unclear at this point how long he'll be sidelined. Bo Schultz has assumed his spot in the Blue Jays' bullpen.
Zack Wheeler (elbow) will resume long-tossing on Monday.
Wheeler's rehab from Tommy John surgery hit a speed bump due to nerve irritation in his right elbow, but he was recently given a cortisone shot and hopes to get back on track. The right-hander should be ready to begin a rehab assignment soon if he can avoid another setback.
Jason Kipnis (general soreness) is not in the Indians' lineup Sunday.
Kipnis left Saturday's game early due to what the Indians are simply calling "general soreness." "It's from hitting too many triples," said Kipnis. The second baseman should be good to go Monday. Jose Ramirez is at second base Sunday and Michael Martinez is in left field.
Corey Kluber's next scheduled start has been pushed back from Monday to Tuesday.
The Indians are giving Kluber an extra day of rest after he threw 115 pitches in a three-hit shutout in his last outing. He'll still make two starts during the upcoming week. Trevor Bauer will flip-flop turns with Kluber and take the ball Monday.
Miguel Sano (hamstring) is expected to need 3-4 more rehab games before being activated from the disabled list.
He's already played two, but the Twins would like him to work on his timing and pitch recognition for a bit longer. Sano is also slated to play the outfield at least once after handling third base for his first two rehab contests.
Ryan Zimmerman is absent from the Nationals' lineup Sunday.
He's one of a few Nationals regulars getting a day off, as Wilson Ramos and Danny Espinosa are also on the bench. The Nats have Clint Robinson at first base, Jose Lobaton at catcher and Stephen Drew at shortstop.
