Khris Davis went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and three runs scored in Tuesday's win over the Giants.

Davis cracked a solo homer off Giants starter Albert Suarez in the fourth inning. At the time, it drew the A's to within 2-1. Pitcher's duel? Not so fast, my friend. The two teams would combine to score 21 additional runs through to the end of the game. For his part, Davis is now slashing .253/.291/.509 with 19 homers and 53 RBI across 265 at-bats.

Brandon Crawford went 3-for-5 with five RBI in Tuesday's 13-11 loss to the A's.

Crawford finished a home run shy of the cycle. As for the runs he drove in, the shortstop notched a two-run double in the third and a three-run triple in the sixth. For the season, Crawford is slashing .268/.342/.415 with six homers and 49 RBI over 265 at-bats.

Albert Suarez surrendered three runs on three hits over 5 2/3 innings in Tuesday's no-decision against the A's.

Suarez struck out five and walked three on the evening. The A's would score one run against him in the fourth inning and two more in the sixth. With Matt Cain (hamstring) set to begin a rehab assignment, the 26-year-old Suarez's time as a starter could be limited.

Kendall Graveman was unable to secure a quality start in Tuesday's no-decision against the Giants, allowing four runs on nine hits over five innings.

Graveman entered Tuesday having surrendered two or fewer runs in his last three outings, but he was unable to find such success against the Giants, as they scored twice in the third inning and twice in the fourth. He will carry a 4.84 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 55/27 K/BB ratio (80 innings) into a home start against the Pirates next time he toes the rubber.
Jun 29 - 2:38 AM

Ryan Howard snapped a 3-3 tie with a bases-loaded walk in the ninth inning of Tuesday's win over the Diamondbacks.

Howard finished the game 0-for-3, but did manage two walks. His second free pass of the evening would be the key one, as he drew it against Brad Ziegler with the bases loaded to push the Phillies to a 4-3 advantage in the top of the ninth inning. They would win by that final score. Veteran slugger Howard is hitting just .151/.211/.349 this season and lost his starting job to Tommy Joseph earlier this month.
Jun 29 - 2:34 AM

Jake Lamb went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a triple and two runs scored in Tuesday's loss to the Phillies.

Lamb's seventh-inning solo homer off David Hernandez boosted the Diamondbacks to a 3-2 advantage. They held that until the ninth inning, but the Phillies would come back with two runs in that frame to overcome the deficit. For the season, Lamb is slashing a strong .286/.366/.584 with 18 doubles, 16 homers and 52 RBI over 255 at-bats. The 25-year-old third baseman is plenty deserving of All-Star consideration.
Jun 29 - 2:28 AM

Randall Delgado pitched well in emergency relief action during Tuesday's showdown with the Phillies, allowing one run on three hits over three innings.

Zack Greinke started the game, but he was waylaid by left oblique tightness after tossing two innings. Enter Delgado, who surrendered a fifth-inning solo home run to Maikel Franco but otherwise did a nice job in holding down the fort after Greinke's unexpected absence. For the season, Delgado owns a 3.51 ERA and 37/21 K/BB ratio over 41 innings.
Jun 29 - 2:19 AM

Jerad Eickhoff turned in a decent performance in Tuesday's no-decision against the Diamondbacks, surrendering two runs on seven hits over five-plus innings.

The Phillies held a scant 2-1 advantage heading into the sixth inning, but Eickhoff coughed up a game-tying solo homer to Yasmany Tomas to lead off the frame. The 25-year-old right-hander struck out six and walked three on the evening. He will carry a 3.38 ERA and 1.24 WHIP into an Independence Day home date with the Braves next time he toes the rubber.
