Jake Odorizzi was given IVs on Friday and Saturday due to a bout of food poisoning.

It could certainly at least partly explain his struggles on Sunday, as he allowed four runs over 5 1/3 innings against the Orioles. Odorizzi should be fine for his next outing, which will come versus O's again, this time on the road.

Chris Owings is absent from the Diamondbacks' lineup Tuesday.

It looks to be a routine day off. Nick Ahmed is at shortstop.

Matt Holliday (fatigue) remained out of the Yankees' lineup Tuesday.

Holliday hasn't played since Saturday due to fatigue, telling manager Joe Girardi that "it feels like someone zapped me of all my energy." The club could send him back to New York to undergo more tests if he doesn't feel better soon. The Yankees have Tyler Austin in the designated hitter spot and Austin Romine at first base.

Aledmys Diaz is not in the Cardinals' lineup Tuesday.

It looks to be a routine day off. The Cards have Paul DeJong at shortstop and Greg Garcia at second base.
Jun 27 - 6:23 PM

Matt Chapman (knee) won't be activated from the disabled list until next week.

Chapman has been released from the hospital and will be back with the A's doing baseball activities on Friday. He's been battling an infection in his left knee.

The Athletics haven't decided yet when Jharel Cotton (blister) will make his next start.

Cotton exited his outing last Friday with a blister on his right thumb. It sounds like he'll either start Thursday in Houston or Friday at home versus the Braves, but we should know for sure in a day or two.

Chris Bassitt (elbow) will resume his rehab assignment with High-A Stockton on Wednesday.

Working his way back from Tommy John surgery, Bassitt had to be pulled off his rehab assignment a little over a month ago after experiencing fatigue. He'll need a good number of rehab appearances before being an option for the A's.
Jun 27 - 6:18 PM

Danny Valencia (wrist) is back in the Mariners' lineup Tuesday.

Valencia missed a couple games with a sore right wrist. He's at first base and hitting seventh.
