Eagles coach Doug Pederson believes K Jake Elliott (concussion) will be ready for Week 12 against the Bears.

Broncos coach Vance Joseph wants Paxton Lynch to use his legs.

"I said, 'Just play. Don’t try to be a pocket passer. We call a play and it’s not there, take off and run,'" Joseph said. "That’s one of his strengths, so I’m looking forward to watching him play on Sunday." Lynch rushed for 40 yards in one of his starts as a rookie, and he has the skill set to be a factor on the ground. Lynch has a good schedule down the stretch starting with Oakland this week, and he could return solid value in two-quarterback formats and perhaps even get on the streaming radar, especially if he is adding points on the ground.

Bears OC Dowell Loggains said Adam Shaheen will continue to get opportunities even with Dion Sims (illness) returning.

Sims has missed the last two games because of an undisclosed illness, and Shaheen has capitalized with six catches for 80 yards and a touchdown. Even with Sims likely to return this week, Chicago does not want to halt the rookie's progress. "We do not want to slow down Adam’s progress that way," Loggains said. "And he has earned the play time the last two weeks." Shaheen could return some value in leagues which use two tight ends the rest of the season.

New Lions DE Dwight Freeney will not play Thursday against the Vikings.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported the veteran had a chance to suit up, but it always seemed unlikely considering he was just claimed off waivers on Wednesday. In better news for Detroit, Ezekiel Ansah is expected to return following a two-game absence with a back injury.

Seahawks OL coach Tom Cable thinks Thomas Rawls is trying too hard.

"It’s his decision-making based on what the read is," Cable said. "If it’s the back door, it’s the back door. If it’s not, stay with the front door...He’s pressing so hard, it’s hard on him." This does not explain why no one else can run behind Cable's offensive line, but perhaps it is to blame for Rawls averaging just 2.6 yards on 49 carries so far this season. A healthy scratch last week, Rawls should get another shot to take over the lead job with Mike Davis sidelined by a groin injury. As has been the case all year, this is a backfield to avoid outside of J.D. McKissic in PPR formats.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Lions DE Dwight Freeney has not been ruled out for Thanksgiving against the Vikings.

Just claimed off waivers Wednesday, it seems highly unlikely Freeney will be ready to suit up after not even a single walk-through with his new team, but perhaps he can get in some snaps in obvious passing situations. The Lions are expected to get back Ezekiel Ansah (back) from injury on Thursday.

Lions DE Ezekiel Ansah (back) is expected to play Thursday against the Vikings.

Ansah has missed the last two games with a back injury, but he was able to get in limited practices this week and looks like he will be able to play. It is a big upgrade for a defense which also could have the services of veteran pass rusher Dwight Freeney, who was just claimed off waivers on Wednesday.

Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday.

Sanders has been playing through his ankle injury the last three weeks. He hasn't looked fully healthy, and this suggests he may be dealing with a setback. Sanders' Week 12 status will be a concern if he doesn't return to practice Thursday.
