The Broncos have asked P Britton Colquitt to accept a pay cut.

If Colquitt doesn't accept, he will likely be released. The Broncos would then roll with rookie Riley Dixon at punter. Once one of the NFL's highest-paid punters, Colquitt is entering a contract year. He is owed $3.25 million.

Justin Hardy took part in Falcons practice on Sunday.

It's a good sign after Hardy exited the third preseason game with a tweaked ankle. Hardy is working as the Falcons' slot receiver in three-wide sets, though that isn't necessarily a big role on a team that uses two tight ends and/or a fullback frequently. Aldrick Robinson is the top backup outside.

Travis Benjamin caught 2-of-5 targets for 35 yards in Sunday's preseason game.

Benjamin showed some nice YAC ability on a 17-yard grab, but also failed to corral a deep ball, the kind the Bolts signed him for. Benjamin is on the WR4/5 borderline as the Chargers' new Malcom Floyd.

According to owner Jim Irsay, Colts LG Jack Mewhort's knee injury will only sideline him 2-4 weeks.

NFL Network reported late Saturday that Mewhort was "believed" to have torn his ACL. The Colts are catching a huge break here, as Mewhort is their best offensive lineman and the anchor between struggling LT Anthony Castonzo and rookie C Ryan Kelly. It appears Mewhort escaped with a knee sprain. The 2-4 week timetable still makes Mewhort doubtful for Week 1 against Detroit.

Keenan Allen caught four passes for 67 yards across three preseason games.

Allen's stats are completely irrelevant since both he and Philip Rivers barely played, but are solid all the same. An absolute target vacuum who was having a career year before getting hurt in 2015, Allen is on the WR1/2 borderline for an offense that's always one of the most pass happy in football.

Melvin Gordon exploded for 51 yards and one touchdown on four carries with one catch for five yards in Sunday’s preseason game.

He didn’t see a huge workload but with players dropping like flies on Sunday (Branden Oliver and Joe Barksdale both left with injuries), the Chargers were probably wise to limit Gordon’s exposure. A huge hole opened up for Gordon in the second quarter and he knew exactly what to do with it, rumbling 39 yards to the end zone for his second touchdown of the preseason. Gordon’s rookie season couldn’t have gone much worse but he’s looked spry this summer with 81 rushing yards on 13 carries to go with two catches for 49 yards. His offseason training with Adrian Peterson seems to have paid off.

Teddy Bridgewater completed 12-of-16 passes for 161 yards and a touchdown in the Vikings' third preseason game.

He added a 22-yard scramble. Bridgewater was sharp despite missing recent practices due to arm fatigue, connecting with Stefon Diggs for 5-71 receiving on five targets and throwing a TD pass to Kyle Rudolph. The low-volume nature of Minnesota's passing offense is Teddy's biggest hurdle in the way of fantasy football impact. That could change if Adrian Peterson went down.

Philip Rivers completed 5-of-9 passes for 54 yards, zero touchdowns and an interception in Sunday's third preseason game.

The Bolts just wanted to get Rivers a few reps without getting him injured. Mission accomplished. Rivers attempted only 12 passes this summer, but it's not a concern for someone with 5,339 career throws. Rivers has his best supporting cast in a few years, and is a firm QB1.
