Angels recalled LHP Tyler Skaggs from Triple-A Salt Lake.
Skaggs is over the elbow and shoulder troubles that have cost him nearly two years and will make his 2016 debut on Tuesday night in Kansas City. Indians RHP prospect Triston McKenzie scattered three hits and one run over 6 2/3 innings Monday in a win for Low-A Mahoning Valley.
He finished with five strikeouts and didn't walk a batter in the longest start of his career. McKenzie is now tied for second in the New York-Penn League with four victories. He also ranks second in strikeouts (47), second in ERA (0.61) and ninth in WHIP (0.95). The 18-year-old has limited opponents to a .181 average over 155 at-bats this season.
Michael Brantley (shoulder) said he is "very confident" he can still impact the Indians this season.
Brantley has been hitting in the cage for the past couple of days and is apparently feeling good. He underwent surgery earlier this month to remove scar tissue from his right biceps tendon, near the right shoulder that required major surgery last November. The star outfielder has been limited to 11 major league games in 2016.

He's also second in doubles (30), second in hits (112), second in batting average (.330), second in total bases (177) and fifth in home runs (11).
