Jon Moscot (shoulder) has been scratched from Tuesday's start against the Giants.

Moscot has been dealing with a shoulder issue of late, so John Lamb has been activated from the disabled list and will start in his place. It's unclear if a stint on the disabled list will be necessary.

Giants 1B prospect Chris Shaw stretched his hitting streak to nine games by launching his fourth home run Monday in a win for High-A San Jose.

Shaw has hit an impossible .486 during the streak, raising his average from .277 to .366. He's now third in the California League in average, third in OPS (1.058), fourth in slugging (.634), fourth in on base percentage (.424) and sixth in runs scored (18). He also leads the league with 10 doubles. San Francisco selected Shaw in the first round of the 2015 draft following a successful college career at Boston College.

Zach Britton (ankle) will play catch Tuesday and could return this week.

Britton sprained his left ankle Saturday while trying to field an Adam Eaton bunt, but X-rays and an MRI both revealed no structural damage. He should be back soon, but Darren O'Day could vulture a save chance or two this week, so he's worth stashing for now in fantasy leagues.

J.T. Realmuto will bat leadoff Tuesday against the Diamondbacks.

It's an outside-the-box choice as the Marlins try to fill the void left by the suspended Dee Gordon. But Realmuto has some speed and is batting .312/.329/.455 through 20 games this season. It's worth a shot, especially with lefty Patrick Corbin on the mound.

Reds activated LHP John Lamb from the 15-day disabled list.

Lamb will start Tuesday in place of Jon Moscot, who has been dealing with a shoulder issue. Acquired from the Royals in the Johnny Cueto deal last July, the 25-year-old Lamb was forced to begin this season on the disabled list following back surgery in December. He had an ugly 9.22 ERA through three rehab starts in Triple-A, but he had a 12/3 K/BB ratio in 13 2/3 innings and averaged 10.5 K/9 over 10 starts with the Reds late last year. He's worth grabbing in NL-only formats.

Athletics SS prospect Franklin Barreto paced Double-A Midland with three hits including a solo home run Monday in a win over visiting San Antonio.

Barreto got off to a sluggish start this season but has raised his average over 200 points since April 22 by going 20 for his last 46 at the plate. He's collected at least two hits in five of his last six games, stealing four bases over that stretch. The 20-year-old is tied for eighth in the Texas League with 20 runs scored this year.

Manny Machado will start at third base Tuesday against the Yankees.

Many were expecting Machado to get the first crack to fill in for J.J. Hardy (foot) at shortstop, but he's staying put on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the newly-recalled Ryan Flaherty will start at shortstop. We still think Machado still has a chance to see some time at shortstop, which would obviously be nice for his fantasy value.

Astros RHP prospect Joe Musgrove notched five strikeouts over six shutout innings Monday in a win for Double-A Corpus Christi.

He scattered five hits and one walk. Opposing hitters have been no match for Musgrove this year. So far he's held opponents to a .193 average with 26 strikeouts in 88 at-bats. The dominant right-hander leads the Texas League in ERA (0.39) and is second in WHIP (0.86). Musgrove hasn't allowed an earned run since April 19 at Springfield. The 23-year-old began his career in the Blue Jays' organization but was traded to Houston in 2012.
