Nick Hundley finished 3-for-4 with a two-run home run, two runs scored and three RBI in Saturday's game against the Braves.

Hundley has answered the bell lately when given the opportunity to play, going 9-for-25 (.360) with a double, home run and four RBI over the past nine games, raising his average from .207 to .253 just since May 6. Still, he doesn't play frequently enough to warrant fantasy consideration outside of deeper NL-only leagues.
May 28 - 3:39 AM

Eduardo Nunez was hitless in three at-bats with a walk in Saturday's game against the Braves, snapping his hitting streak at 12 games.

Nunez entered the day with the second-longest hitting streak in the majors, but just couldn't punch one past the defense. He is still hitting .353 (18-for-51) with eight runs scored, two homers and nine RBI over the past 13 games. Nunez remains a solid play in most fantasy formats and DFS play.
May 28 - 3:33 AM

Mark Melancon needed just four pitches to record two outs in Saturday's appearance against the Braves, nailing down his 10th save.

Melancon is a perfect 5-for-5 in save opportunities in the month of May, allowing just one earned run across 4 2/3 innings. He hasn't show any ill effects from the elbow injury which landed him on the 10-day disabled list to kick off the month of May. Overall he has walked just one batter while recording 12 strikeouts across 14 1/3 innings.
May 28 - 3:31 AM

Ty Blach allowed just two earned runs, six hits and three walks with five strikeouts across 7 2/3 innings in a win against Atlanta on Saturday.

Blach also helped himself by going 2-for-3 with an RBI. He has turned in three excellent outings, posting quality starts and wins during the impressive span. He is 3-0 with a 2.49 ERA during the span, lasting at least seven innings in each of his past four outings. Blach is subbing for the injured Madison Bumgarner and he is pitching so well that he could keep his rotation spot once MadBum is finally healthy.
May 28 - 3:24 AM

Tyler Flowers finished 2-for-4 in Saturday's game at San Francisco.

Flowers, a career .238 hitter, has collected two hits in back-to-back games and four of his past five outings. He is cruising along with a slash line of .357/.453/.462. The backstop has never really come close to this type of production before, so fantasy owners would be wise to consider him as a sell-high candidate.
May 28 - 3:18 AM

Danny Santana went 1-for-4 with a triple, RBI and a strikeout in Saturday's game in San Francisco.

The triple was nice, and the veteran has hit safely in three of the past four games, but he is still hitting a paltry .115 with just three hits across 26 at-bats (.115) since being acquired from the Twins.
May 28 - 3:14 AM

Mike Foltynewicz allowed five earned runs, seven hits and a walk with four strikeouts over four innings in a loss in San Francisco on Saturday.

The shabby outing snapped a three-game winning streak, dropping his May record to 3-2 with a 6.12 ERA. He has served up nine homers over 50 2/3 innings this season while posting a respectable 41 strikeouts. Foltynewicz has shown some glimpses of brilliance, but he is on a poor team and too inconsistent to rely upon outside of deeper NL-only formats.
May 28 - 2:59 AM

Trevor Story went 1-for-4 in Saturday's game against the Cardinals.

Story has hit safely in each of his past four games since coming off the 10-day disabled list. It isn't much, but he is 4-for-14 (.286) with two doubles, a homer and two RBI during the four-game run. He was a feel-good story in 2016, but so far he has been a big disappointment in 2017 with a dismal .192 batting average.
