Mark Ingram (toe, knee) returned to practice on Friday.
That puts him on track to play Sunday against Tampa Bay. Ingram has had some big weeks recently, but his usage remains somewhat of a guessing game. Last week he was out-snapped by Travaris Cadet. Ingram will be a risky RB2 against a Bucs' defense that has performed much better recently.
Chargers CB Brandon Flowers (concussion) is out for Week 14 at Carolina.
He remains out indefinitely with an increasingly concerning brain injury.
Michael Thomas (foot) returned to Saints practice on Friday.
It looks like the Saints just gave Thomas the last two practices off. It would be a surprise if he did not start Sunday at Tampa Bay. Thomas has emerged as the Saints' best wideout as rookie, leading the team in all receiving categories.
According to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald, Dolphins MLB Kiko Alonso (thumb, hamstring) is not expected to play in Week 14 against the Cardinals.
Per Salguero, Alonso will sit out "barring a miraculous improvement." Alonso broke his thumb in last week's loss to Baltimore, but the real issue is his hamstring. Look for Mike Hull to fill in at middle linebacker on Sunday.
Texans coach Bill O'Brien said their is a "remote possibility" CB Johnathan Joseph (ribs) will play in Week 14 against the Colts.
He hasn't practiced yet this week and looks like a long shot for Sunday. With Joseph's status in doubt, Kareem Jackson will likely start opposite A.J. Bouye in Week 14. This has the makings of another big week for T.Y. Hilton.
Saints placed TE Josh Hill on injured reserve with a broken fibula, ending his season.
Coby Fleener will take over as the Saints' No. 1 tight end, although blocker John Phillips has been seeing more action recently and should inherit a big chunk of Hill's running-game snaps. Although the Saints have refused to commit to Hill as a key piece of their offense, he is a terrific athlete who has always excelled when given passing-game opportunities, and made strides as a blocker in 2016. He'll definitely be back at his $1.65 million salary in 2017.
Vikings C Joe Berger (concussion) is out for Week 14 against the Jaguars.
There was optimism Berger would return this week but he's still in the league's concussion protocol. Nick Easton will be the starting center Sunday at Jacksonville.
Tyrann Mathieu (shoulder) has been ruled out for Week 14.
The Cards will stay with Tyvon Branch at slot corner, where he has been terrific this year and arguably even better than Mathieu, whose play has declined due to a multitude of injuries. Mathieu remains out indefinitely. Despite this news, we would not upgrade Jarvis Landry's matchup because he'll now face Branch.
