Dilson Herrera (finger) remains unable to grip a baseball or a bat.
Herrera is able to field grounders, but his baseball activity remains limited just over a week after being diagnosed with a fractured right middle finger. It's not clear at this point how long he'll be sidelined.
Jose Altuve is not in the Astros' lineup Sunday.
It's simply a day of rest. Marwin Gonzalez is handling second base while Altuve sits.
Jose Bautista is not in the Blue Jays' lineup Sunday.
It looks like just a routine day off. Edwin Encarnacion is in the designated hitter spot Sunday, with Justin Smoak handling first base and Ezequiel Carrera covering right field.
Mets manager Terry Collins said Sunday that Ruben Tejada will be given multiple starts at third base.
Eric Campbell has really struggled at the hot corner, so the Mets will give Tejada a long look at the position. With David Wright (back) looking like he'll be sidelined for a while long, Tejada could settle into the position for a while if he plays well.
Lucas Duda is not in the Mets' lineup Sunday due to a tight hamstring.
Duda tweaked the hamstring on a play at second base Saturday. It doesn't sound like more than a day-to-day concern, but the Mets will be careful. Michael Cuddyer is at first base Sunday, with John Mayberry covering left field.
Dillon Gee (groin) will make one more rehab start.
The Mets had been expected to add Gee to the mix this week as part of a six-man rotation, but they'll wait until the first week of June to make the move. Gee has put up a 3.86 ERA and 1.35 WHIP over five starts this season.
Pedro Alvarez is absent from the Pirates' lineup Sunday.
He's on the bench in favor of Sean Rodriguez versus lefty Jon Niese. Alvarez has just one hit in 17 at-bats against left-handers this season.
Gregory Polanco is not in the Pirates' lineup Sunday.
He's sitting in favor of Jose Tabata with a lefty (Jon Niese) on the mound. Polanco is batting just .143/.182/.143 versus southpaws this season.
