Joc Pederson remains out of the Dodgers lineup on Saturday.

The young outfielder has been in a massive slump at the plate, so skipper Don Mattingly wanted to give him a few days to clear his head. Pederson hit an atrocious .169/.229/.258 with one home run, five RBI and a 31/4 K/BB ratio in the month of July.

C.J. Wilson (elbow) will announce his own MRI results on Saturday.

Wilson was placed on the disabled list on Friday with what was supposed to be minor elbow inflammation, so the fact that Wilson wants to announce the news himself could mean there is a more serious ailment at play. Stay tuned.

Nathan Karns will make his next start on Monday against the White Sox.

He gets moved back a day as Jake Odorizzi will take the hill on Sunday against the Red Sox. It's a tough blow for fantasy owners in weekly formats who used Karns this week, as he loses a double, though it's made up next week with the White Sox and Mets on tap.

Jake Odorizzi will have his next start bumped up a day, as he'll pitch on Sunday against the Red Sox.

Nathan Karns, who had been scheduled to pitch Sunday, will move back a day and work against the White Sox on Monday. The Rays simply wanted to change the order of their rotation, there isn't believed to be anything physically wrong with Karns.

Wade Davis (back) expects to be available for Saturday's game against the Blue Jays.

He has been dealing with a minor back issue in recent days, but felt better on Saturday. He'll test it out by playing catch before the game, but is expected to be ready to action.

Russell Martin is not in the Blue Jays starting lineup on Saturday.

It's just a routine day of rest for the hard-hitting backstop with a day game after a night game. Dioner Navarro will start behind the dish and bat sixth against Yordano Ventura and the Royals on Saturday.
Aug 1 - 11:00 AM

Troy Tulowitzki is not in the Blue Jays lineup for Saturday's game against the Royals.

Manager John Gibbons simply wanted to give his new shortstop a day of rest. Munenori Kawasaki will start in his place and bat eighth against Yordano Ventura on Saturday.

Red Sox optioned RHP Jonathan Aro to Triple-A Pawtucket.

Aro was with the club for just two days to provide bullpen depth. He'll continue to bide his time at Triple-A until a full-time opening arises in the Red Sox bullpen.
