Colin Kaepernick completed 21-of-34 passes for 248 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions in Sunday night's loss to the Bears.

He also lost a fumble and took four sacks. Kaepernick had another interception overturned or it would have been an even bigger disaster. His back-to-back picks to Bears CB Kyle Fuller in the fourth quarter cost the 49ers the game. Kaepernick's lone touchdown was a three-yard throw in the flats to Michel Crabtree. The only positive is he managed to come away with 66 rushing yards. With Vernon Davis dealing with an ankle injury, Kaepernick should be avoided for a matchup with the Cardinals in Week 3.

Jay Cutler completed 23-of-34 passes for 176 yards and four touchdowns in Sunday night's 28-20 win over the 49ers.

It was a tale of two halfs for Cutler. His first two quarters were filled with overthrows and near-interceptions to Brandon Marshall and an injured Alshon Jeffery. He bounced back with three touchdowns in the second half, which were set up by Colin Kaepernick's three interceptions. Cutler hooked up with Marshall on three of his scores, and hit Martellus Bennett on a fade in the fourth quarter. Cutler needs to be in fantasy lineups for a matchup with the Jets in Week 3. He ranks behind only Joe Flacco and Matt Ryan with 86 pass attempts.

Vernon Davis has been ruled out of Sunday night's Week 2 game against the Bears with an ankle injury.

Davis injured his ankle after being dragged down from behind on a tackle in the fourth quarter. He limped off the field and was eventually carted off. Davis secured all three of his targets for 39 yards prior to going down. There's a chance Davis may be dealing with a high-ankle sprain, which would cost him multiple weeks.

Bears DT Jay Ratliff suffered a concussion in Week 2 against the 49ers.

He'll now need to pass through the league's concussion protocol before returning to practice. Ratliff's status will be updated no later than Wednesday.
Sep 14 - 11:02 PM

Charles Tillman suffered a triceps injury in Sunday night's Week 2 game against the 49ers.

It's a significant injury after Tillman missed the final seven games of 2013 with a torn triceps. The Bears defense is in shambles after losing S Chris Conte in the second quarter. Tillman could be a candidate for injured reserve.
Sep 14 - 10:48 PM

Rod Streater suffered a hip flexor injury in Sunday's Week 2 loss to the Texans.

Streater's departure allowed Andre Holmes (5-45-0 on seven targets) and Denarius Moore (3-29-0 on five targets) to get some extra run. The severity of Streater's injury is unknown right now.

49ers TE Vance McDonald left Sunday night's game with a knee injury, but later returned.

McDonald ended up missing only one quarter. He'll continue to play in two-tight end packages with Vernon Davis.
Sep 14 - 10:01 PM

Lions CB Nevin Lawson dislocated his ankle in Sunday's Week 2 loss at Carolina.

Lawson needed immediate surgery, which means the fourth-round rookie is likely done for the year. The Lions' already weak secondary is now even thinner after also losing Bill Bentley (torn ACL) in Week 1.
