Neil Walker went 1-for-3 with a walk in Monday’s shutout loss to the Giants.

The Brewers managed just four hits on the day, all of them singles. Walker has been red-hot since being acquired from the Mets earlier this month, batting .435 (10-for-23) over seven games. Recently hitting second in the Brewers’ lineup, Walker should be owned in mixed fantasy leagues.

White Sox optioned RHP Brad Goldberg to Triple-A Charlotte.

He's clearing out for the arrival of Lucas Giolito, who will officially be recalled Tuesday to make his first start for the White Sox. Goldberg holds an 8.25 ERA and hideous 3/14 K/BB ratio over 12 relief innings with the big club this season.

White Sox optioned RHP Carson Fulmer to Triple-A Charlotte.

Fulmer was the 26th man for Monday's doubleheader versus the Twins and he was rocked for six runs over 1 2/3 innings in his first major league start. The 23-year-old will return to a 5.61 ERA at Charlotte.

Yasiel Puig cracked a go-ahead solo homer in the top of the 12th inning Monday as the Dodgers rallied to beat the Pirates 6-5.

Another clutch moment for Puig, who also caught the final out on Max Moroff's liner to right field in the bottom of the 12th. Puig drew a walk in his first plate appearance of the night, doubled in his fourth plate appearance of the night, and went deep off Pirates reliever Dovydas Neverauskas in his sixth plate appearance of the 12-inning affair. The rejuvenated 26-year-old outfielder owns an .803 OPS with 22 home runs and 58 RBI in 117 games this season for a Dodgers team that sits 53 games above .500.

Dillon Gee spun six innings of one-run ball in a 10-2 victory in the second game of Monday’s doubleheader against the White Sox.

Gee was excellent, allowing just two hits while walking none and striking out four. He was perfect through four innings before Nicky Delmonico took him deep in the fifth. It was his longest appearance in the majors since last September 6. Gee is a couple of years removed from being even somewhat interesting from a fantasy perspective. He’ll have to keep it going to prove otherwise.

Carson Fulmer was hammered for six runs over 1 1/3 innings in the second game of Monday’s doubleheader against the Twins.

Not what Fulmer had in mind for his first major league start. All six runs scored in the second inning, including a three-run homer from Jorge Polanco and another three-run homer from Brian Dozier. With Lucas Giolito set to join the rotation, Fulmer figures to go right back down to the minors.

Byron Buxton stayed hot Monday against the White Sox by going 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs scored.

In doing so, Buxton extended his hitting streak to a career-best 12 games. He’s hit four homers (including one inside-the-parker) with 12 RBI and 12 runs scored during the streak. It’s time to forgive and forget in mixed fantasy leagues. Buxton is well worth a shot for the stretch run.

Alex Wood dealt with more inflammation in his SC joint during Monday's start versus the Pirates.

The joint runs between the manubrium of the sternum and the clavicle bone. Wood missed a couple weeks of action with the same issue in the first half and Dodgers manager Dave Roberts referred to the situation as "a little concerning." Wood's velocity has dropped steadily this season and was down again Monday and the SC joint problem might be at least partly to blame. It sounds like Wood will probably skip a start or two, but we'll know for sure later this week.
