Lions DE Ziggy Ansah said he thinks the ankle injury he suffered Week 2 will hamper him "all year."
Coming off 14.5 sacks last season, Ansah has zero takedowns in eight games this year. His ankle certainly has something to do with the decreased production, but Ansah does not want to use it as an excuse. "I don’t give any excuses for how I play," Ansah said. "It gets better every week." The sacks have not been there, but Ansah does have 10 hurries in the last five games according to PFF and almost has a strip sack on Thanksgiving. Those hurries should turn into takedowns eventually.
Coach Todd Bowles said Brandon Marshall’s (knee, foot) status is a "concern."
Marshall has yet to practice this week. A return on Saturday would put him on track to suit up against the Colts, though he’s capable of playing without practicing. Marshall should be fine as a WR2 for Week 13.
Chiefs CB Steven Nelson has been removed from the Week 13 injury report.
Nelson is ready to return after getting in a full week of practice. The Chiefs will have both Nelson and Marcus Peters for the first time since Week 10.
Seahawks RB Troymaine Pope (ankle) is listed as questionable for Week 13.
Pope practiced in full the last two days. He should back up Thomas Rawls, but won't see more than a few touches.
Raiders CB David Amerson (knee) is questionable for Week 13.
Amerson is expected to play after sitting out last week. His return is a needed upgrade to the Raiders’ secondary. Amerson was PFF’s No. 18 corner before going down.
Redskins waived SS David Bruton.
Bruton was placed on injured reserve with a concussion about two months ago. He was having a dismal year before his injury, grading out as PFF's No. 79 safety out of 81 qualifiers. Bruton inked a three-year, $9 million deal with Washington last offseason.
Michael Crabtree (ankle) is questionable for Week 13 against the Bills.
Crabtree was limited at all three practices this week. Coming off a 100-yard game in Week 12, Crabtree should be a solid WR2 for Sunday's home game against Buffalo.
Latavius Murray (ankle) is questionable for Week 13 against the Bills.
Murray should be ready to roll against Buffalo after putting in a limited week of practice. Despite ranking only 23rd in the league in carries, Murray is tied for fourth with nine rushing touchdowns this season. He'll be in the RB2 mix this week.
