Seth Lugo yielded four runs in 5 2/3 innings Friday in a win over the Giants.

Fortunately for him, Lugo didn't need to be at his best tonight, and he obviously wasn't in giving up seven hits and three walks to an awful Giants lineup that was minus Buster Posey. He has another somewhat advantageous matchup coming up against the Marlins, but he's still a risky play in NL-only leagues right now.

Ronald Torreyes hit a walk-off RBI single as the Yankees defeated the Rangers 2-1 in 10 innings on Friday.

It was a long night in the Bronx, as the game was delayed one hour and 42 minutes due to rain. The game-winning rally was set up after Gary Sanchez and Didi Gregorius hit back-to-back singles off Matt Bush with one out in the 10th. Bush struck out Chris Carter for the second out, but Torreyes ripped a single to center field which allowed Sanchez to score the winning run. The 24-year-old utility man is batting .293/.315/.366 through 45 games this season.

Yu Darvish had to settle for a no-decision after spinning seven scoreless frames against the Yankees on Friday.

It was the first major league matchup between Darvish and Masahiro Tanaka. And it lived up to the hype. Darvish didn’t go as deep into the game, as he was pulled after 88 pitches, but he gave up just two hits and walked none while striking out 10 batters. This was his third double-digit strikeout game of the season. He’s had a bit of a shaky month, but there’s still frontline potential here.

Masahiro Tanaka fired eight scoreless frames in a no-decision against the Rangers on Friday.

Tanaka was on point, allowing just three hits while striking out nine and walking a pair. He threw first-pitch strikes to 26 out of the 27 batters he faced. It was his longest outing since his shutout against the Red Sox back on April 27. Fantasy owners will probably want to see back-to-back strong outings before trusting Tanaka again, but an effort like this one shows why folks should keep the faith.

Ty Blach was lit up for seven runs and 11 hits in three innings by the Mets on Friday.

That's going to be a real Blach mark on his record. The lefty has given up 24 runs over 21 1/3 innings in his last four starts, taking his ERA from 3.24 to 4.86. His rotation spot is probably safe for the moment, but one more bad start should change that.

Matt Bush blew a save and took the loss Friday against the Yankees.

Asked to hold a 1-0 lead, Bush gave up a game-tying homer to Brett Gardner with one out in the ninth inning. He later allowed a walk-off single to Ronald Torreyes in the 10th. Bush has now blown back-to-back save chances and has appeared much more hittable of late. No word on any sort of imminent change, but fantasy owners would do well to stash Jose Leclerc or Keone Kela.

Brett Gardner went 2-for-4 with a game-tying solo homer and a stolen base Friday against the Rangers.

Gardner took Rangers closer Matt Bush deep with one out in the bottom of the ninth. The Yankees went on to win the game in 10 innings. Gardner is already up to 14 home runs on the year, which doubles his total from all of last year.

Joey Gallo finished 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in Friday’s extra-inning loss to the Yankees.

Gallo had a big day at the plate on Wednesday, but he’s 0-for-8 with six strikeouts since. The 23-year-old slugger is hitting just .155 (9-for-58) with three home runs and 24 strikeouts this month. He still leads the Rangers with 19 home runs, but his batting average is down to .194 on the year.
