Stevan Ridley is expected to be active for Sunday's game against the Browns.
Ridley was a healthy inactive last week due to his fumbling issues. It's not known what kind of role he'll be given if he manages to play, but he'll likely be behind early down back LeGarrette Blount for carries. Shane Vereen remains the only Patriots running back worth starting for fantasy purposes in Week 14.
Browns rookie CB Leon McFadden is expected to see more playing time in Week 14 against the Patriots.
McFadden has been getting snaps as a safety in dime packages over the last two weeks and will take over as the No. 3 corner for the rest of the season with Chris Owens on injured reserve. "He has my trust to go into a game," DC Ray Horton said. "He’s prepared hard. Worked hard on the field, and earned his chance. He is one of our starters-in-waiting, and I expect him to do well."
Vikings FS Harrison Smith (toe, short-term I.R.) is on track to return in Week 15.
Smith missed the last two months with turf toe, but managed to avoid surgery and has already been cleared to practice. He'll rejoin the starting lineup next week, the first game he's eligible to return.
49ers placed RB Marcus Lattimore (knee) on injured reserve, ending his season.
He'll officially redshirt his entire rookie year. Lattimore practiced the last three weeks on the NFI list, and hasn't had any setbacks from major knee surgery, but was never expected to be activated this season. With Frank Gore entering a contract year in 2014, Lattimore remains a strong "hold" in Dynasty leagues and will take part fully in the 49ers’ offseason program. "If I had to play, I would," Lattimore told CSN Bay Area. "Without question, if they needed me. But they don’t need me right now. Going into next year, I can’t wait."
Cowboys ILB Sean Lee (hamstring) is listed as probable for Week 14.
Lee practiced in full this week and will return after missing just three games. It's a massive boost for the Cowboys, who will be getting back their best linebacker as they attempt to stay in first place in the NFC East. Lee has 93 tackles, four interceptions and one fumble recovery in 10 games this season.
Brandon Marshall (quad) was a full participant in Saturday's practice and is listed as questionable for Week 14.
Marshall missed practice earlier in the week for rest purposes, but his status was never in doubt for Monday night's game. Rotoworld ranks Marshall as the No. 4 overall wideout for Week 14.
Titans promoted WR Michael Preston from the practice squad.
It's a sign that Damian Williams (questionable, hip) might not be ready to return. Preston has appeared in four games this season and will contribute on special teams if active. OL Kevin Matthews was waived in a corresponding move.
Lions waived WR/KR Micheal Spurlock.
Spurlock is no longer needed after being replaced on kick returns by Jeremy Ross. With Darius Slay (knee) ruled out for Week 14, the Lions have promoted CB Chris Greenwood off their practice squad.
