The Boston Herald reports Julian Edelman's oft-troublesome foot has "progressed to the point where (the Patriots) would like it to be."
Howe added, "Don't be surprised if he starts to take off down the stretch," meaning have a big finish. The Patriots certainly need a big finish from Edelman after losing Rob Gronkowski for the season. Edelman's foot has been managed, never turning in full practices and sometimes taking practices off entirely. He has played in every game this season and has showed improved chemistry with Tom Brady in recent weeks. Edelman is now an every-week fantasy WR1.
DeVante Parker (back) is active for Week 13 against the Ravens.
It's a stunning development after Parker was considered a long shot to play earlier this morning. He'll have a tough assignment this week going against Jimmy Smith (back), who is also active. TE Thomas Duarte, T Bryce Harris, CB Xavien Howard, LB Jelani Jenkins, CB Jordan Lucas, C Mike Pouncey and WR Rashawn Scott round out Miami's inactive list for Week 13. Brandon Albert (wrist), Kiko Alonso (hamstring), Jermon Bushrod (calf), Kenyan Drake (knee), Earl Mitchell (back) and Laremy Tunsil (shoulder) are all active for the Dolphins. RotoGrinders.com Daily Slant:
Given Parker's situation, it’s a great time to look at Jarvis Landry. Baltimore ranks 1st in rush DVOA, according to Football Outsiders, so the Phins will likely struggle on the ground. With Parker hobbled, Tannehill could spread some of his looks to Landry, who will avoid Jimmy Smith in the slot. Landry is a solid option, especially on full PPR sites.
Jordan Matthews (ankle) is officially inactive for Week 13 at Cincinnati.
Zach Ertz should be the Eagles' primary pass catcher in plus draw. The rest of the Eagles' inactives are RB Ryan Mathews, DE Steven Means, OL David Andrews, OL Dillon Gordon, OL H(insert spelling) Vaitai, and DT Taylor Hart.
Tom Brady (knee) is active for Week 13 against the Rams.
There was never any doubt. Inactive for the Patriots are S Jordan Richards, WR Matthew Slater, DL Woodrow Hamilton, RB D.J. Foster, OT La'Adrian Waddle, DL Darius Kilgo, and CB Justin Coleman.
The Eagles plan to feature Wendell Smallwood Sunday at Cincinnati.
They also planned to feature Smallwood in last week's loss to Green Bay, but fell behind and resorted to a lot of Darren Sproles. Smallwood isn't fully trusted in pass protection, so he won't be featured in the passing game, but is expected to be Philly's primary ball carrier. He's just a flex option.
49ers WR Quinton Patton (concussion) is active for Week 13.
Patton was cleared after passing the final stage of the league's protocol. He's not on the streaming radar despite a plus matchup. Inactive for the 49ers are QB Christian Ponder, RB Mike Davis, CB Marcus Cromartie, LB Aaron Lynch, OT John Theus, TE Je’Ron Hamm, and DL Tony Jerod-Eddie.
Chris Hogan (back) is active for Week 13 against the Rams.
Hogan might draw a couple extra targets per game in the absence of Rob Gronkowski (back), but he'll also be fighting with rookie Malcolm Mitchell.
Chiefs RCB Phillip Gaines is inactive for Week 13 against the Falcons.
You could argue it's an upgrade for the Chiefs and downgrade for Julio Jones, though maybe now Andy Reid will get frisky and shadow Jones with No. 1 CB Marcus Peters. That has not been Reid's M.O.
