Cardinals placed RHP Adam Wainwright on the 10-day disabled list with a right elbow impingement.

Wainwright's velocity was down significantly in his last two starts, so he'll take a break for a while. Luke Weaver will assume his spot in the rotation and is worth picking up in fantasy leagues.

David Phelps (elbow) will throw a simulated game early next week.

Phelps threw a successful bullpen session Friday and is ready to take the next step. If the simulated game goes well, he could rejoin the Mariners' bullpen without going on a rehab assignment.

Jarrod Dyson is not in the Mariners' lineup Friday due to groin tightness.

Given that basically all of Dyson's fantasy value is derived from his legs, it's not an ideal ailment to have. He's not expected to be available off the bench Friday. Guillermo Heredia is in center field.

Reds placed RHP Scott Feldman on the 10-day disabled list with right knee inflammation.

Feldman returned from the same injury less than a week ago but never looked healthy. His stay on the DL this time around figures to be considerably longer.
Aug 18 - 4:02 PM

Reds activated OF Scott Schebler from the 10-day disabled list.

He's been out all month with a strained left rotator cuff but is ready to go following a short rehab assignment. Schebler was really struggling before going on the DL and Jesse Winker is still expected to receive some starts in right field.
Aug 18 - 4:01 PM

Brewers placed C Andrew Susac on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to August 15, with a right trapezius strain.

Susac began the season on the disabled list with the same injury. He was no longer needed, anyway, with Stephen Vogt back from the DL.
Aug 18 - 3:59 PM

Brewers activated C Stephen Vogt from the 10-day disabled list.

Vogt missed a month of action with a sprained MCL. He'll go back to sharing time at catcher with Manny Pina.
Aug 18 - 3:57 PM

Angels activated LHP Andrew Heaney from the 60-day disabled list.

Heaney will make his season debut on Friday in Baltimore after completing the long rehab from Tommy John surgery. He put up a 2.60 ERA and 29/5 K/BB ratio over 27 2/3 innings on his rehab assignment, but it would probably still be wise for fantasy owners to see how he looks for a start or two before activating him, especially considering the tough first matchup.
