Dustin Pedroia drove in all of Boston's runs with a pair of two-run homers Wednesday against the Twins.

Pedroia has matched his 2014 total with seven homers on the season. Unfortunately, the overall struggles of the Boston lineup have cost him some fantasy value. He's scored just 19 runs in 46 games, a poor total for a top-of-the-order hitter with a solid OBP. He's had 38 singles, eight doubles and 21 walks and been driven in just 12 times.

Michael Cuddyer went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, helping the Mets complete a sweep of the Phillies on Wednesday.

Cuddyer pushed the Mets' lead to 4-0 in the third inning, ripping a two-run shot off of Sean O'Sullivan. He had also homered in the series opener against the Phillies. The 36-year-old hasn't looked like the hitter who hit over .330 in consecutive years in 2013-14 with the Rockies. He's batting .262/.331/.396 with five home runs and 22 RBI thus far.
May 27 - 3:53 PM

Kyle Kendrick allowed four runs but lasted 7 1/3 innings in Wednesday's 6-4 victory over the Reds.

Kendrick served up two homers and struck out only one, but he permitted just five hits in total and also issued just one free pass. The outing was his longest of the season in 10 trips to the mound. Kendrick will bring an ugly 6.38 ERA and 31/20 K/BB ratio over 60 2/3 innings into next week's start versus the Dodgers.
May 27 - 3:51 PM

Lucas Duda hit a pair of solo home runs and a double in a 3-for-4 effort Wednesday as the Mets topped the Phillies.

Duda started the scoring in the first inning with a solo shot off of Sean O'Sullivan. He victimized O'Sullivan again in the fifth with another solo blast, the last of four home runs the Mets hit against the Phillies' right-hander. Duda also had a multi-homer game on May 21, giving him five in his last six games. He has eight total on the season along with 23 RBI and a .305/.400/.539 batting line.
May 27 - 3:50 PM

Mike Leake was knocked around again Wednesday, surrendering six runs over five innings in a loss to the Rockies.

He served up two home runs among nine hits while also walking a pair. Leake got off to a fantastic start this season but has fallen apart of late, allowing a whopping 20 runs over his last three starts to push his ERA from 2.36 to 4.66. He'll try to bounce back next week in Philadelphia.
May 27 - 3:46 PM

X-rays on Kevin Kiermaier's right ankle came back negative.

Kiermaier was hit on the ankle by a pitch Wednesday, but he'll be fine. "It's all good," he said. "I'll be good to go."
May 27 - 3:43 PM

John Axford struck out one over a perfect inning while recording a save in Wednesday's win over the Reds.

He struck out Brandon Phillips and also got a flyout and groundout to preserve the two-run victory. Axford has been surprisingly effective for the Rockies, nailing down all eight of his save chances while posting a 0.75 ERA. He's allowed just two hits over his last seven appearances.
May 27 - 3:40 PM

Brad Boxberger took the loss in a non-save situation on Wednesday, allowing a three-run home run in his only inning of work as the Rays dropped Wednesday's matinee with the Mariners 3-0.

Chris Archer and Felix Hernandez were trading zeroes, but Boxberger took the mound to start the ninth. He issued a pair of two-out walks to bring Cruz to the plate, and Cruz made him pay, blasting a three-run home run to center. It was a non-save situation, so Boxberger remains 13-for-13 in save situations with a 2.95 ERA and a 27/8 K/BB ratio in 18 1/3 innings.
