Reggie Bush (ankle) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

As expected. Bush battled the ankle Week 7 against the Saints, playing sparingly in the second half, but he's likely to suit up against the Falcons in London. It's a tasty matchup, but Joique Bell is the much more preferred play.

Robert Griffin III (ankle) took the first quarterback rep at Wednesday's practice.

In the first individual drill, RGIII was No. 1 and Colt McCoy No. 2. Kirk Cousins has been demoted to No. 3. This doesn't mean Griffin will get the start Monday night against the Cowboys, as coach Jay Gruden has repeatedly said RGIII has "got to be 100 percent" before he plays. We won't get an official practice status from RGIII until Thursday. We'd still consider him unlikely for Week 8. But Griffin is making strides in the right direction and may be targeting Week 9.

49ers RB Marcus Lattimore (knee, NFI) has been cleared to practice next Monday when the team returns from its bye week.

It'll be the first time he's been cleared to practice since wrecking his knee on October 27, 2012 at South Carolina. "I’m still going through the process. But I feel great," Lattimore said. "It's been a long road." Once Lattimore steps on the practice field, it will start a 21-day clock for him to either be activated or shut down for the remainder of the season. He's determined to play in 2014, but it remains to be seen if it'll happen. Lattimore says he feels better than ever. He'll turn 23 next Wednesday. With Frank Gore and Kendall Hunter free agents after the season, Carlos Hyde and Lattimore could be the 2015 tandem.

CSN Philly reports Darren Sproles (knee) "appears likely" to play Week 8 against the Cardinals.

After initially fearing a torn ACL, Sproles says he "felt pretty good" at Tuesday's practice. An MRI last week revealed no structural damage and just a mildly sprained MCL. Arizona is yielding the second-fewest PPR points to opposing running backs. At less than 100 percent and seeing just 5.5 touches per game over the past four, there will be better options than Sproles for your FLEX spot.

Giants WRs coach Sean Ryan said the team plans to use Rueben Randle in the slot more over the final nine weeks of the season with Victor Cruz (knee) done for the year.

"The other guy that can do certain things in the slot for us is Reuben because he's smart and he's a big target in the middle of the field," Ryan said. Randle is averaging nearly 10 targets per game the past five weeks, and is the No. 23 overall PPR-scoring wide receiver over the past six. Getting him in the slot is just another way to get the ball in his hands. At 6'3/210, he's a mismatch for smaller nickel corners. Randle has picked up his play and put himself into WR2 consideration. We're just waiting for that "boom" game.

Joseph Fauria (ankle) remains sidelined at Lions practice.

Fauria hurt his ankle at his home ahead of Week 4 and has been out ever since. He remains week-to-week. With Calvin Johnson (ankle) and Eric Ebron (hamstring) also sidelined, Fauria is missing a golden opportunity.
Oct 22 - 10:03 AM

Theo Riddick (hamstring) returned to Lions practice Wednesday.

He missed Week 7 against the Saints. With Reggie Bush (ankle) expecting to play in London vs. the Falcons, Riddick will pick up the scraps as the No. 3 back.
Oct 22 - 9:58 AM

Brandon Pettigrew (foot) did not practice Wednesday.

Pettigrew wasn't even spotted on the practice field in London. The Lions have been hit hard at tight end, losing Eric Ebron (hamstring) and Joseph Fauria (ankle) to injuries the past few weeks. Detroit will hope Pettigrew can play Week 8 against Atlanta, or they'll have to turn to Jordan Thompson and Kellen Davis.
