Stephen Piscotty (illness) is back in the Cardinals' starting lineup on Tuesday night.

Piscotty missed Monday's series opener at Milwaukee Park with food poisoning. He is starting in right field and batting cleanup in his return to action Tuesday versus Brewers right-hander Wily Peralta.

Reds activated RHP Jon Moscot from the 15-day disabled list.

Moscot will rejoin the Reds' starting rotation Tuesday night in Colorado after missing the last four weeks with a shoulder injury. He threw six scoreless innings in his final minor league rehab start, but the right-hander is a poor fantasy bet at Coors Field.

According to MLB.com's Mark Bowman, the Braves are finalizing a trade that will send veteran reliever Jason Grilli to the Blue Jays.

It sounds like the negotiations could be wrapped up at some point Tuesday night. Grilli was sporting a rough 5.29 ERA, 1.71 WHIP, and 23/13 K/BB ratio through 17 innings this season out of the Atlanta bullpen. This is his age-39 campaign. Atlanta will get minor league right-hander Sean Ratcliffe in return, per Robert Murray of BaseballEssential.com.

Ryan Braun (neck) is back in the Brewers' starting lineup on Tuesday night against the Cardinals.

Braun acknowledged Monday that he doesn't have full mobility in his neck, but he'll try to give it a go in the second game of a three-game set at Miller Park. He missed three straight days with neck stiffness.

Bryan Morris has opted to undergo back surgery.

Morris told reporters last week that surgery was probably the only option to repair his lumbar disk herniation, and further testing and exams proved that to be accurate. Marlins manager Don Mattingly said he's hopeful the right-hander can return this season.
May 31 - 4:39 PM

According to Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the Rangers have discussed keeping Jurickson Profar around after Rougned Odor's suspension ends.

Hanser Alberto would also remain on the active roster and the Rangers would go with a seven-man bullpen. Profar is 6-for-18 (.333) since his callup on Friday and he was slashing 284/.356/.426 with five homers and four steals in 189 plate appearances this season with Triple-A Round Rock. The former top prospect might have finally found some footing at the major league level, though it's still pretty loose.
May 31 - 4:36 PM

Caleb Joseph underwent surgery for his testicular injury late Monday night.

Orioles manager Buck Showalter wouldn't get into details, which is probably for the best. Joseph has already been placed on the 15-day disabled list. It's not exactly clear how long he will be out.
May 31 - 4:26 PM

Justin Turner will get the night off Tuesday.

Howie Kendrick is starting at third base and Chase Utley is at second versus Cubs ace Jake Arrieta.
