According to Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports, the White Sox are talking to teams about Chris Sale.

That's not exactly breaking news -- trade rumors have swirled around Sale for weeks -- but Passan's report is relevant because those discussions are ongoing even after the ace left-hander was scratched from his scheduled start Saturday against the Tigers because of a pregame clubhouse incident. We don't have any details about that incident, only that it was non-physical and did not cause an injury. This could be a very busy night for Sale's Rotoworld profile.

Chris Sale was scratched from his scheduled start Saturday night against the Tigers because of a pregame "clubhouse incident."

Sale was sent home from U.S. Cellular Field and the White Sox will start Matt Albers instead. Via a statement from the White Sox: "The incident, which was non-physical in nature, currently is under further investigation by the club. The White Sox will have no additional comment until the investigation is completed." Odd stuff.

Orioles recalled RHP Tyler Wilson from Triple-A Norfolk.

Wilson has an ugly 5.22 ERA in 81 innings (13 starts, three relief appearances) this season at the major league level. He'll serve as a mop-up man.

Orioles placed RHP Ubaldo Jimenez on the paternity leave list.

Jimenez was excused from the Orioles on Saturday with his wife going into labor. He'll be gone for 3-7 days. The right-hander hasn't pitched since July 8 anyway.

According to Jon Morosi of FOX Sports, Chris Sale is not believed to be ill.

There have been multiple conflicting reports since Sale was scratched from his scheduled start Saturday night against the Tigers. We're back to thinking a trade could be coming. Matt Albers is going to take the mound in Sale's place versus Detroit.

Tyler Glasnow was pulled from his second major league start Saturday due to shoulder discomfort.

Shoulder troubles rarely end well, but there's no word yet as to the severity of this particular issue. Glasnow figures to see a specialist within the next couple of days. He gave up two runs in three-plus innings Saturday versus the Phillies, hitting two batters and walking three.

Rich Hill (blister) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Sunday.

He'll wear a cover on his finger where a blister has developed and is refusing to go away -- that cover, by the way, can't be worn in a live game. The veteran left-hander lasted just five pitches in his first start out of the All-Star break, back on July 17. Hill is one of Oakland's better trade chips leading up to the August 1 deadline, but he obviously needs to get past this. There is no timetable for his return to the Athletics' rotation.
Jul 23 - 6:23 PM

Matt Albers will make a spot start Saturday night against the Tigers.

Chris Sale had to be scratched because of a cold. This will be Albers' first start since 2008. He probably won't go more than three or maybe four innings.
