Daniel Stumpf (elbow) will begin a minor league rehab assignment Tuesday night with Triple-A Toledo.

Stumpf is scheduled to make two rehab appearances and should be back in the Tigers' bullpen this weekend if both of them go smoothly. The 27-year-old left-hander has been on the disabled list since May 29 with ulnar nerve irritation in his pitching elbow.

Daniel Norris (groin) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Wednesday in Lakeland, Florida.

It'll be his first mound workout since he underwent core muscle surgery in early May. Norris has many hurdles to clear before he can be considered an option for the Tigers' active pitching staff. He had a 5.87 ERA and 1.63 WHIP over his first 15 1/3 innings (two starts, three relief appearances) this season with Detroit.

Tim Beckham (groin) is expected to come off the 60-day disabled list on Saturday.

Beckham will finish his minor league rehab assignment at Triple-A Norfolk after going 1-for-8 with two walks in three rehab games at Double-A Bowie. The 28-year-old infielder has been out since April 25 following core muscle surgery. He batted .179/.247/.262 over his first 23 games this season with the Orioles.

Jose Altuve is out of the Astros' starting lineup on Tuesday night against the Rays.

It looks to be a routine day of rest for the star second baseman, who went 3-for-4 with a double, a stolen base, and two runs scored in Monday's series opener versus Tampa Bay. Alex Bregman is at second base and Yuli Gurriel is playing third base on Tuesday, with Tyler White drawing a start at first base.

Colby Rasmus (hip) could be activated off the 60-day disabled list on Thursday.

Rasmus, who's been out since April 7 with a left hip flexor strain, is batting .256/.298/.442 with one home run and 10 strikeouts in 13 minor league rehab games between High-A Frederick and Double-A Bowie. The 31-year-old outfielder can go on being ignored in standard mixed fantasy leagues.
Jun 19 - 5:59 PM

Rougned Odor was scratched from the Rangers' starting lineup Tuesday night against the Royals.

No reason has been given. Odor also sat out of Monday's series opener against the Royals, so something may be up here. Jurickson Profar will play second base and hit fifth versus Kansas City right-hander Jason Hammel.
Jun 19 - 5:53 PM

Chris Tillman (back) will begin a minor league rehab assignment Wednesday with Low-A Aberdeen.

Tillman figures to make at least two starts on the farm before the Orioles consider plugging him back into their rotation. The 30-year-old right-hander had a 10.46 ERA and 2.21 WHIP through seven starts this season with Baltimore when he landed on the disabled list May 11 because of a lower back strain.
Jun 19 - 5:49 PM

Orioles manager Buck Showalter said Tuesday that there is no plan for Chris Davis' return to the starting lineup.

Davis hasn't appeared in a game since last Monday as he continues to work through changes to his swing. Showalter would only say that Davis will not return on Wednesday. The 32-year-old first baseman is batting just .150 with a .454 OPS and 86 strikeouts in 57 games this season for Baltimore.
