Manuel Margot (calf) was wearing a walking boot on his right leg Friday.

Margot is out of the lineup for a second straight game due to a sore right calf. It doesn't appear the disabled list is under consideration at this point, but it's unclear when he might return to action. Allen Cordoba is in center field Friday.

An MRI has revealed that Chris Heisey suffered a complete right biceps rupture.

However, Heisey has been told he doesn't need surgery and can't do any more damage to the tendon, so he's going to attempt to play through it. It's unclear when he might be activated.

J.A. Happ (elbow) could rejoin the Blue Jays' rotation as soon as Tuesday versus the Reds.

Happ was touched up for three runs on seven hits over just three innings in a rehab start with High-A Dunedin on Thursday, but the important thing is his elbow felt good. The Blue Jays could still choose to stretch him out more with another rehab outing, but it sounds like there's a good chance he'll be back next week, whether it's the beginning or the end of the week.

Cesar Hernandez is not in the Phillies' lineup Friday due to a slight groin injury.

It's something that's been bothering him a bit of late, although it sounds like he'll probably be back in there Saturday. Andres Blanco is handling second base Friday.

Alex Meyer (back) played catch Friday.

"We got after it pretty good," Meyer said. The big right-hander is hoping to be activated when eligible next week.

Scott Alexander (hamstring) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Omaha on Friday.

He shouldn't need too many appearances before being activated. Alexander has missed the last two-and-a-half weeks with a strained hamstring.

Cameron Maybin (knee) said Friday that he expects to return to the lineup Saturday.

Maybin is sitting out Friday after exiting Thursday's contest with a sore right knee, but it's not considered to be a big deal. He's hitting .240/.362/.363 with three homers and 10 steals this season.

Dodgers transferred LHP Scott Kazmir from the 10-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.

The Dodgers needed to clear 40-man roster space for waiver claims Mike Freeman and Chris Heston. Kazmir remains out indefinitely with a hip issue.
