Dwight Howard was ejected from Monday's game vs. the Celtics.

He got his second technical foul for hanging on the rim after a dunk. Howard will finish with 17 points, 12 rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 27 minutes. The Hawks will likely have to go small with Paul Millsap at center the rest of the night.

Coach Luke Walton said the Lakers want to see how Ivica Zubac "handles first-string center and bigger minutes."

Unleash the Zubac. Earlier in 2017, the Lakers said they wanted to keep Timofey Mozgov as the starters, but that's obviously not the case. President Magic Johnson also has made it clear he wants to see more Zubac -- Walton said the coaching staff and front office make their own decisions. Based on how Zubac is blocking shots and seeing more minutes, he's shaping up to be that strong stash many were hoping for about a month ago.

General manager Bryan Colangelo said the 76ers are hopeful Joel Embiid (knee) will return this season, according to the 76ers broadcast.

On the other hand, the team has made it very clear health and long-term performance is the top priority for their players. Basically, it sounds like a 50/50 shot we see Embiid out there again in 2016-17. As has been the case since January, the 76ers do not want to see any swelling or soreness on Embiid. He still had both on Monday and there hasn't been much improvement outside of him doing some light shooting. Richaun Holmes and Jahlil Okafor are both making strong case to be added in standard leagues. Robert Covington and The Homie Dario Saric have been huge winners, too.

Michael Beasley suffered a left knee sprain on Monday vs. the Cavs and will not return.

The Bucks initially called Jabari Parker's injury a knee sprain, so Beasley isn't out of the woods yet and will likely have additional tests. He was in obvious pain and could only put a little bit of weight on his leg as his teammates helped him back to the locker room. He finished with 11 points in nine minutes. Mirza Teletovic will get a short-term boost with Khris Middleton resting tonight.

Al Jefferson (dental pain) will not play on Monday vs. the Rockets.

While the team listed him as questionable, coach Nate McMillan called Big Al doubtful at the morning shootaround. He's still dealing with a lot of pain after an emergency root canal last week and this will be his third game on the shelf. Rakeem Christmas will likely pick up minutes in the teens Monday night.

Michael Beasley injured his left knee on Monday vs. the Cavaliers and went back to the locker room.

It didn't look good at all and his teammates had to carry him to the locker room. The Bucks will have an update shortly, but we'd be surprised if his night wasn't done. Khris Middleton is being rested, so we could see more of Mirza Teletovic and Tony Snell tonight.

Arron Afflalo (hamstring) will not play on Monday vs. the Wolves.

The Kings will continue to play it safe with the veteran. The Kings are tanking and Afflalo's contract for next season isn't guaranteed, so his outlook is poor going forward. Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans and Ben McLemore will pick up the bulk of the wing minutes.

Dennis Schroder started vs. the Celtics on Monday.

He was suspended for Friday's game vs. Miami for failure to report to the team on time after the All-Star break, and then he came off the bench on Saturday vs. the Magic for showing up late to the team bus. The Hawks lost both of those games, but Schroder's move back into the first unit could help them turn things around.
