Raisel Iglesias (elbow, hips) threw a side session without issue on Tuesday.

MLB.com's Mark Sheldon reports that Iglesias will break camp with the team. Iglesias slipped in the shower a few weeks ago, injuring his right elbow as well as both of his hips. The Reds haven't announced a closer but Iglesias is the favorite for ninth-inning work out of the gate.

Brewers released 1B Cody Decker.

OF Nick Cain, RHP Kaleb Earls, RHP Alex Farina, LHP Cesar Jimenez, LHP Mitch Lambson and 1B Tyrone Perry are also getting pink slips. The 30-year-old didn't see any action in the Cactus League, though he did log 11 at-bats for Team Israel in the World Baseball Classic. Decker is hitless in 11 career big league at-bats.

Orioles acquired RHP Alex Asher from the Phillies for cash considerations or a player to be named later.

Asher had a poor spring and wasn't going to make the Phillies' Opening Day roster. Despite his Grapefruit League struggles, Asher fared well in a small sample size in the big leagues last season, contributing a 2.28 ERA over five starts for Philadelphia. He'll start out in Triple-A but should make a few cameos in Baltimore later in the year.

Charlie Blackmon is battling flu-like symptoms.

He's been out the past couple of days and now we know why. Blackmon's teammate Jake McGee is also under the weather. Illnesses like these can spread through a locker room, so it wouldn't be surprising if a few more Rockies came down with the flu. Both players should be available for Opening Day.

Jake Petricka (hand) will play catch on Tuesday.

He was drilled by a comebacker on Monday but X-rays on his right hand came back negative. Petricka is still on track to pitch against the Brewers this weekend. The right-hander will be fine for Opening Day.

Eric Gagne threw a bullpen session on Tuesday.

It's his third pen session since coming back from the World Baseball Classic. Gagne has been working as a guest instructor at Dodgers spring training. The 41-year-old topped out at 95 mph at the WBC and is hoping for another shot at the big leagues. Perhaps he'll land a minor league deal at some point.

Cubs manager Joe Maddon said he hasn't considered placing Addison Russell (back) on the disabled list.

"I'm certain he's going to be fine," said Maddon. Russell has missed the past week with back soreness but is on the mend and could return to game action before the end of spring training. Among major league shortstops, only Carlos Correa drove in more runs than Russell last season.

Nationals placed 1B Clint Robinson on outright waivers.

If Robinson goes unclaimed in the next 72 hours, he'll report to Triple-A Syracuse. Robinson had been competing with Adam Lind for a backup job at first base. Now that Lind is safely on the team, it looks like Washington's final bench spot will go to either Michael Taylor or Wilmer Difo.
