Darren O'Day picked up his first save of the 2018 campaign on Friday with a scoreless ninth inning against the Indians.

With Brad Brach unavailable on Friday, O'Day was handed the ball with a two-run lead to protect in the ninth inning and he didn't disappoint, setting down the Indians in order including a pair of strikeouts.

Trey Mancini socked a go-ahead two-run double in the fifth inning on Friday, propelling the Orioles to a 3-1 victory over the Indians.

Mancini's run-scoring knock off of Trevor Bauer broke a 1-1 tie and proved to be the difference in the ballgame. He finished the night 1-for-4 and is now hitting .284/.352/.420 with a pair of homers and seven RBI on the season.

Sonny Gray let in five runs in 3 1/3 innings in Friday's loss to the Blue Jays.

He surrendered a two-run homer to Teoscar Hernandez in the second inning -- the first bomb he's given up this year. Gray had no control over his pitches tonight. He issued four walks and threw two wild pitches in the brief outing. The Yankee bullpen walked another five batters to keep the bases full of Blue Jays all night. It's been a brutally rough season for Gray and his fantasy owners so far -- he has an 8.27 ERA with 23 hits and 11 walks allowed in his first 16 1/3 innings through four starts.

Dylan Bundy was dominant in Friday's victory over the Indians, striking out nine over six innings of one-run ball.

The box score line really doesn't do Bundy much justice in this one, as he was filthy. He loaded the bases in the first inning, then hit Edwin Encarnacion to force in a run, but after that he completely took the game over. All told, Bundy fired 108 pitches, 71 of them for strikes. He boasts a 1.42 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 40/9 K/BB ratio through 31 2/3 innings on the year. He'll look to continue his dominance when he does battle against the Rays at home on Wednesday.
Apr 20 - 10:46 PM

Michael Brantley collected another pair of hits on Friday as the Indians fell to the Orioles in the opener of their three-game set in Baltimore.

Brantley finished the night 2-for-4 with a double. He has done nothing but hit since returning to the Indians' lineup and is now hitting .351/.385/.514 with a homer, six RBI and a swipe through his first 39 plate appearances.
Apr 20 - 10:39 PM

Trevor Bauer logged a quality start in a losing effort against the Orioles on Friday, allowing three runs on five hits over his seven innings.

The right-hander racked up six strikeouts on the evening while walking three. He served up a solo home run to Manny Machado in the fourth inning, then a two-run double to Trey Mancini in the fifth. Now 1-2 on the season, Bauer will bring a terrific 2.67 ERA and 1.11 WHIP into Wednesday's start against the Cubs.

Odubel Herrera went 2-for-4 with a triple and an RBI as the Phillies topped the Pirates 2-1 on Friday night in Philadelphia.

With the victory, the Phillies improved to 7-1 at home this season. Herrera delivered the biggest hit of the night, with a run-scoring triple in the eighth inning to snap a 1-1 tie. He has been locked in at the plate through the first few weeks of the season, slashing .343/.387/.486 with a homer and eight RBI in 75 plate appearances.
Apr 20 - 10:25 PM

Carlos Santana went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored as the Phillies bested the Pirates on Friday night.

Santana singled in the sixth inning, advanced to third on a base hit by Odubel Herrera and scored on a fielder's choice to get the Phillies on the board and tie the score at 1-1. He is off to a very rough start at the plate, slashing a mere .162/.286/.309 with two homers and 10 RBI.
