Twins optioned RHP Aaron Slegers to Triple-A Rochester.

This move occurred prior to Friday's game after Slegers had functioned as the 26th man for Thursday's doubleheader against the Indians. He pitched well in his debut, allowing just two runs over 6 1/3 innings against the Tribe.

Dodgers designated RHP Dylan Floro for assignment.

The move was made to create a spot on the 40-man roster for the recently-acquired Curtis Granderson. There's a decent chance that he'll pass through waivers unclaimed and continue to function as bullpen depth at Triple-A Oklahoma City.

The Phillies plan to recall Ben Lively from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to start against the Giants on Sunday.

He'll take the spot of the injured Odubel Herrera on the club's active roster. His return to the rotation is expected to bump Mark Leiter Jr. back to the bullpen.

Guillermo Heredia (arm) went 1-for-4 with a double in his return to action on Friday.

Heredia was lifted from Wednesday's game against the Orioles after he was struck by a pitch from Ubaldo Jimenez. The 26-year-old outfielder is having a solid season at the dish, hitting .286/.347/.397 with six homers and 22 RBI in his 317 plate appearances.

Orlando Arcia (back) returned to the Brewers' lineup with a bang on Friday, belting a solo home run in a loss to the Rockies.

Arcia was scratched from Tuesday's lineup due to back spasms and sat out on Wednesday as well as a precautionary measure. He finished the day 1-for-3 plus a walk and is now slashing .284/.327/.424 with 12 homers and 40 RBI on the season.

Hunter Pence homered and doubled as the Giants crushed the Phillies 10-2 on Friday.

It's alive! Pence is hitting .351 with four homers in 57 at-bats this month, raising his OPS from .637 to .699. It could be worth giving him another try in mixed leagues, though since he's in a bad lineup and he's not going to steal bases, his ceiling is pretty limited.

Matt Moore pitched 7 1/3 innings of two-run ball Friday in a win over the Phillies.

Since talk of a move to the bullpen started up, Moore has responded with back-to-back quality starts. The only other time that's happened all season was in May, when he had four in a row. The win tonight was Moore's first since June 20. At 5.54, his ERA is as low as it's been since mid-June.

Zach Eflin was tagged for six runs in five innings by the Giants in a loss Friday.

Eflin won in his return to the majors 10 days ago, but he's given up 10 runs and four homers in 10 1/3 innings since. The home run ball is always going to be a big problem for him, and we doubt he's truly one of the Phillies' five best rotation options right now. Ben Lively is more deserving of that spot.
