Byron Marshall will take over as the Redskins' passing-down back following Chris Thompson's season-ending leg injury.

Marshall was signed off the Eagles' practice squad just one week ago. "(He's) a bright kid and willing to learn," coach Jay Gruden said. "He’s not going to have much of a choice. He’s going to have to." The third-down back is a heavily utilized position in Gruden's offense, but Marshall won't simply assume Thompson's lost targets. For now, Marshall should not be considered PPR viable.

Sterling Shepard (migraines) was officially "DNP" in Tuesday's practice.

It's a downgrade from Monday's limited session. Shepard is now on the wrong side of questionable for Thursday night's game against the Redskins, though a Wednesday return would have him on track to suit up.

Seahawks RG Oday Aboushi will miss Week 12 with a dislocated shoulder.

Aboushi suffered the injury in the fourth quarter on Monday night. It's possible he misses multiple games. Presumably, Mark Glowinski will now slide back into the starting lineup. Like Glowinski before him, Aboushi has been a liability on Russell Wilson's right side.

Cardinals promoted WR Carlton Agudosi from the practice squad.

With John Brown out for Week 12, the Cards needed an extra body at receiver. An UDFA out of Rutgers, Agudosi caught four passes for 52 yards in the preseason.

Sterling Shepard (migraines) was "not spotted" at Tuesday's practice.

It's possible Shepard shows up after the media departs, but it would be a downgrade after he was listed as "limited" on Monday. It's also possible the Giants simply slap Shepard with another limited tag, even if he essentially doesn't participate. Right now, Shepard should be considered on the wrong side of questionable for Thursday night's game against the Redskins.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Mike Davis (groin) is "unlikely" to play Week 12 against the 49ers.

It is a tough break for a player who seemed to be taking advantage of his opportunity on Monday night, especially considering the Davis' former team, the 49ers, are next up on the schedule. With Davis out, Thomas Rawls will jump back into the rotation, but this is a situation to avoid outside of J.D. McKissic in PPR formats.

RotoGrinders.com Daily Slant: While Davis was sidelined Monday, McKissic worked as the primary back and finished with 12 touches while Eddie Lacy saw three. Even if Rawls is active in Week 12, it could be McKissic's backfield against the 49ers. He couldn't have a much better spot; the 49ers are giving up the most PPR points per game to RBs while allowing the most receiving yards and 2nd-most receiving touchdowns to the position. At just $3.7k on DraftKings, McKissic looks like a solid value but it’ll be worth monitoring the situation this week before pulling the trigger.

49ers released DE Datone Jones.

Because the trade deadline has passed, he will be subject to waivers. The 2013 first-round pick lasted three games with the 49ers, his third team this season. Jones was likely cut to make room for Tank Carradine (ankle), who is eligible to return from injured reserve.

Vikings coach Mike Zimmer confirmed Case Keenum will start Thursday against the Lions.

It was the only decision Zimmer could make after Keenum played well in a big win over the Rams on Sunday. The matchup with the Lions is not great, but Keenum has good enough weapons and has flashed a high enough ceiling to keep him in the streaming conversation.
