Jerricho Cotchery caught three passes for 25 yards in the Panthers' Week 17 win over the Falcons.

He caught all three of his targets. Cam Newton attempted just 16 passes on the day with the Panthers smoking Atlanta. Cotchery is efficient in catching balls that come his way, but he doesn't do much after-the-catch. He'll be a chain-mover for the Panthers in the Wild Card Round against the Cardinals.

Ronnie Hillman (foot) rushed 15 times for 56 yards and caught one pass for two yards in Sunday's Week 17 win over the Raiders.

Hillman surprising had a massive role in his first game since Week 10 -- and it wasn't just in garbage time. He got two of the game's first three carries, got key goal-line touches and ended up out-carrying C.J. Anderson 15-13. CJA was far more effective though, continuing to play at the Pro Bowl level and finding the end zone three times on the ground. Perhaps the Broncos were just trying to rest Anderson a bit, although this could be trending toward a timeshare as the No. 2 seed heads into their bye.

Doug Baldwin caught three passes for 43 yards in the Seahawks' Week 17 win over the Rams.

He was targeted four times, finishing tied for second on the team with Luke Willson behind Paul Richardson (7). The Rams play physical pass defense, and their only real weak spot is RCB Janoris Jenkins. He's susceptible to big plays, and Richardson was the one who got behind him for a 32-yard gain. Baldwin managed a 38-yard grab. Baldwin and the Seahawks are off next week.
Dec 28 - 9:08 PM

Peyton Manning completed 21-of-37 passes for 273 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in Sunday's Week 17 win over the Raiders.

Manning went 51 straight games with at least one touchdown pass. In the last four weeks, he's been shut out twice and thrown a total of three touchdowns against six interceptions. Peyton's arm is alarmingly weak right now, as he struggles to even get any zip on the ball at the intermediate level. That's led to a ball control and defensive approach from the Broncos, something they can win with thanks to C.J. Anderson and elite talent on D. Manning will try to gain some strength back during the bye as the Broncos are the AFC's No. 2 seed.
Dec 28 - 9:04 PM

Jacquizz Rodgers rushed for 44 yards on nine carries in the Falcons' Week 17 loss to the Panthers, adding three catches for 19 yards.

Rodgers got the start in place of an injured Steven Jackson (quad) and split touches with Devonta Freeman. The diminutive Rodgers wraps up his fourth season with 58 carries for 217 yards (3.74 YPC) and one touchdown on the ground to go with a 31-241-1 receiving line. A free agent in March, Rodgers is unlikely to find much, if any, guaranteed money. He's an unproductive COP back but can at least catch the ball and pick up the blitz.
Dec 28 - 9:00 PM

Greg Olsen caught two passes for 27 yards in the Panthers' Week 17 win over the Falcons.

Olsen was targeted three times on a day Cam Newton attempted just 16 passes. With the Panthers blowing the Falcons out, there was no need for OC Mike Shula to dial up any passes. The Panthers defense also had two pick-sixes, meaning the offense didn't get the ball a ton. Olsen will be a solid tight end play in DFS next week at home against the Cardinals.
Dec 28 - 8:58 PM

Paul Richardson caught five passes for 60 yards in the Seahawks' Week 17 win over the Rams.

With Jermaine Kearse inactive with an injury, Richardson got the start opposite Doug Baldwin and saw a team-high seven targets. His big gain of 32 yards was a leaping grab on the sideline over the top of Rams RCB Janoris Jenkins. Richardson has come on since the Percy Harvin trade, but isn't producing big numbers in Seattle's power-run offense. The Seahawks are off next week.
Dec 28 - 8:55 PM

Kenbrell Thompkins caught one pass for two yards in Sunday's Week 17 loss at Denver.

Waiver by the Patriots on October, the Raiders claimed Thompkins. He peaked as the No. 3 wideout behind James Jones and Andre Holmes, but was mostly a rotational sub. Thompkins is under contract for just $585,000 in 2015 if the new Raiders regime wishes to keep him on board. Expect a training camp battle with the likes of Brice Butler.
