Jeff Green played 18 minutes off the bench against the Blazers on Thursday with eight points, four rebounds, four assists, one steal and no turnovers.
He should be sticking in the second unit with the Magic wanting to get a look at Terrence Ross and Aaron Gordon together. Green is not expected to have much fantasy value while Orlando is healthy at the forward spots.
Sixers waive G Chasson Randle.
They had to clear a roster spot to complete the Justin Anderson deal. After a strong preseason with the Knicks, Randle never really got a chance to show what he could do in the NBA. He'll likely get a 10-day deal at some point.
Kristaps Porzingis (right ankle) will not return against the Cavs on Thursday.
He gets ruled out eight minutes after he was called questionable to return. It's worth a mention that this is to the same right leg that had Achilles problems -- yes, Achilles and ankles are different things. The Knicks are going nowhere fast, so expect them to be taking it easy on their franchise guy. With him out, we'll see more minutes for Lance Thomas, Justin Holiday and maybe Mindaugas Kuzminskas gets back in the rotation. Willy Hernangomez also benefits with more usage, as well. Porzingis finished with eight points, five boards and two blocks in 16 minutes.
Kristaps Porzingis suffered a sprained ankle on Thursday night and is questionable to return to the game.
He has eight points, five boards and two blocks at half time and we'll let you know if he's back out there at the start of the third quarter. If not, Mindaugas Kuzminskas and Lance Thomas might be a little busier than usual.
The Suns are expected to waive Mike Scott.
While the Suns really need some depth at forward, they'll look elsewhere. Scott could get some interest as a 10-day guy this weekend.
The Suns are expected to waive Jared Sullinger.
This was fairly obvious with Sullinger not in the plans for the rebuilding Suns. He will likely clear waivers and isn't likely to be heavily pursued until the other buyout guys have signed.
Roy Hibbert will not play for the Nuggets on Thursday.
He still hasn't joined his new team and when he does, he's going to see pretty limited minutes behind Nikola Jokic and company.
Chris Paul (thumb) will not play against the Warriors on Thursday night.
The Clippers are on a back-to-back set, so CP3 has a decent chance to play on Friday against the Spurs. Coach Doc Rivers called his Hall of Fame point guard "iffy" for that game, though. He has been cleared to play in games, but he did beat his target date by about a week. Raymond Felton and Austin Rivers will get another go with an expanded role.
