CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora suggests Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff could be in trouble, particularly if Atlanta loses to the Panthers in Week 17.

Per La Canfora, Dimitroff's future is "hanging in the balance" and it's conceivable owner Arthur Blank cleans house if the Falcons miss the playoffs. Per La Canfora, it would likely take a multi-game run for coach Mike Smith to return. The Falcons "have interest" in Patriots OC Josh McDaniels, and we wouldn't rule out a run at Rex Ryan, whom Blank should have hired in 2009.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported on Sunday Countdown that the Titans are "content with Zach Mettenberger" and do not feel urgency to use a high draft pick on a quarterback.

Mettenberger played reasonably well in his 2014 opportunities, but it's still a surprise whenever a team would feel "content" with a sixth-round quarterback. It is incredibly, incredibly rare that sixth-round quarterbacks become franchise signal callers. Mettenberger does possess some of the traits teams look for: Ideal size and arm strength, and composure in the pocket.

Johnny Manziel (IR, hamstring) didn't show up on time for treatment on his injury Saturday and was fined.

Manziel threw a big party Friday night, one that was attended by Josh Gordon and other teammates. It was apparently a good time, as Gordon and Justin Gilbert both missed the Saturday walkthrough and got suspended. Meanwhile, Manziel wasn't at the facility ether Saturday and wasn't answering his phone, so team security was sent to find him. We can't imagine a worse rookie year for JFF, who lost a camp battle to Brian Hoyer, looked wildly unprepared and overwhelmed in two starts and failed to conduct himself well off the field. The Browns will be on the hunt for quarterback help again this offseason.

Patriots signed director of player personnel Nick Caserio to a contract extension through 2020.

Caserio, who turned 39 on Saturday, has been a red-hot name on the GM market the past couple seasons and was expected to get plenty of interviews in the coming weeks. Not anymore. He'll remain in New England, where he's been since 2001. Caserio has worked his way up from personnel assistant and has had various titles along the way. He's been in the director of player personnel role as coach Bill Belichick's right-hand man since 2008.

According to ESPN's Bob Holtzman, A.J. Green (bicep) will play in Sunday night's game against the Steelers but is "uncertain what to expect."

Green "badly" bruised his bicep during last week's win over the Broncos. He attempted to play through it briefly, but was in too much pain and left for good in the third quarter. Green has obviously gotten some of the soreness out over the last six days and earned a "probable" tag, but he doesn't sound close to 100 percent.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports Terrance West will start against the Ravens in Week 17.

Literally laughing out loud. This comes a week after West played zero snaps because of poor practice habits. But he's getting the nod over Isaiah Crowell. It'll be hard not to fire up the Ravens defense anywhere and everywhere in fantasy. The Ravens need a win, and the Browns will trot out UDFA Connor Shaw at quarterback, West in the backfield, and be without Josh Gordon.

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirmed Emmanuel Sanders (hip) is fully expected to play in Sunday's game against the Raiders.

The Broncos listed Sanders as questionable even though he got some practice in every day this week. We don't expect him to be limited in this dreamy matchup.

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora reports Josh Gordon is viewed as a "perpetual problem" inside the Browns' organization and "has to go."

Let the pile-on begin. The Gordon bashers have come out in full force the past month, and it's now coming to a head after the team suspended him for the season finale because he missed Saturday's walkthrough. Words like "former star" and "habitually late" were also mentioned in the CBS piece. The Browns put up with Gordon's problems when he posted one of the best seasons in NFL history last season, but now that their season has collapsed in front of them, it's time to throw blame wherever. And Gordon and Johnny Manziel are the ones receiving it. The Browns have been an historically-bad organization for years now. They'd be dumb to dump Gordon. But it appears a split may be coming.
