The Lakers and Jose Calderon are exploring their buyout options, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.

The Lakers have no reason to play Calderon as they look to play their younger guys. According to the report, the Warriors and Rockets look to be the favors to sign him assuming the buyout goes through. The Lakers will be leaning more on D'Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson and Brandon Ingram.

Victor Oladipo (back) only went through a light practice on Saturday.

Coach Billy Donovan said he wouldn't be able to play in a game today, which means he's questionable at best for Sunday against the Pelicans. Alex Abrines was big time on Friday with a career-high 19 points in 29 minutes, so he stands to benefit the most again. Plus, Andre Roberson slid over to the two more, which opened up some run for Doug McDermott. Oladipo owners should just sit tight.

Al Jefferson (dental pain) is listed as questionable Saturday vs. Miami.

Jefferson missed Friday night's game due to the same issue. Surprisingly, it was Rakeem Christmas, not Kevin Seraphin, who soaked up Jefferson's minutes off the Pacers bench. Christmas scored four points, grabbed five rebounds and blocked a shot in 14 minutes against the Grizzlies on Friday. It will be interesting to see if Christmas gets the call again on Saturday if Big Al is unable to suit up.

Kevin Durant (left hand contusion) has been ruled out of Saturday's game vs. the Nets.

Durant injured his left hand in a fall during the first half on Thursday night. However, X-rays confirmed it was only a contusioon and Durant was able to finish the game in fine fashion. And, before Durant owners get too nervous, it is important to note that the Warriors are playing the NBA's worst team, the Nets, on Saturday. Coach Steve Kerr may simply be using the hand injury as an excuse to give Durant a night off. Steph Curry and Klay Thompson should see extra shots on Saturday, while some combo of Andre Iguodala, Patrick McCaw, Ian Clark and David West will divvy up KD's minutes.

Kristaps Porzingis (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the Sixers.

This certainly isn't surprising, as Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Friday that Porzingis would be out several days due to the ankle injury KP suffered on Thursday night. The Knicks next game is Monday vs. the Raptors. It is possible that Porzingis is available for that contest. If KP does not play Saturday, Lance Thomas will likely draw the start in his place. Mindaugas Kuzminskas and Kyle O'Quinn would likely see extra run as well.

Joakim Noah (left hamstring) is listed as doubtful for Saturday's game vs. the Sixers.

Noah has missed each of the Knicks last six games. Willy Hernangomez is expected to draw another start on Saturday. Willy is averaging 11.5 points (on 51.4 percent shooting), 10.8 rebounds and 2.5 assists in the four games he has started this season. Kyle O'Quinn should also continue to see additional minutes.

Kenneth Faried (back spasms) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. Memphis.

Faried, who came into the game with a minor ankle injury, hurt his back after landing awkwardly on Friday night. He was ruled out and did not return to the game. Wilson Chandler, Darrell Arthur and Juancho Hernangomez should see additional playing time if Faried is unable to suit up on Sunday.
Feb 25 - 1:26 PM

Kyle Lowry (wrist) is listed as questionable in the game notes for Sunday's contest vs. the Blazers.

The games notes are often unreliable, so this doesn't give us much of an update. Coach Dwane Casey said on Friday that he wasn't sure how long Lowry would be out, but that "it's not a one-day thing." The team announced that Lowry would receive further evaluation over the weekend. If you own Lowry and have roster space, you may want to pick up Cory Joesph as an insurance policy.
