Jurickson Profar went 2-for-4 and scored a run in Saturday's win over the Royals.

He tripled in the fourth inning and scored on a Joey Gallo double. Profar also doubled in the ballgame. The former top overall prospect has struggled with injury and poor performance the last few years but seems to finally be displaying some of his fabled talent on a consistent basis. The 25-year-old has a .748 OPS with three homers, 26 RBI and 20 runs scored in 47 games. That is not star-level production but it is light-years better than what he had done in the majors previously. He may yet develop into a good fantasy asset.

Bartolo Colon allowed three runs in seven innings but did not earn a decision in Saturday's extra-inning win over the Royals.

The hefty 45-year-old continues to find a way to get the job done despite throwing almost exclusively mid-eighties fastballs. He struck out four batters, issued two walks and scattered five hits in the contest. He endured one bad inning when the Royals got to him for three runs in the third frame. His record holds at 2-2 with a 3.55 ERA in 11 games (nine starts). He doesn't have a big strikeout rate but does have an excellent 40:7 strikeout-to-walk rate in 63 1/3 innings. Only Josh Tomlin, Dylan Bundy and Danny Duffy have allowed more than Colon's 13 homers.
May 26 - 9:56 PM

Whit Merrifield went 1-for-4 and drove in two runs during Saturday's loss to the Rangers.

His double plated Alcides Escobar and Jon Jay in the third inning. Merrifield normally plays second base but started in centerfield in this one. He is following up last year's breakout season with another similar campaign at the plate and on the basepaths. He has a .288 batting average with four homers, 21 RBI and 25 runs scored. He also has 12 stolen bases this year after leading the American League with 34 bags in 2017.
May 26 - 9:47 PM

Hunter Dozier went 2-for-3 and scored a run during Saturday's loss to the Rangers.

He reached base on an infield single in the third inning and came around to score on a Jon Jay single. He also doubled and walked in the ballgame but was left stranded both of those times. The first baseman has played 12 games since getting called up from Triple-A Omaha, slashing .250/.325/.333 with no homers, one RBI and four runs in 40 plate appearances. The 26-year-old former first round draft pick doesn't have much power or speed and is not likely to develop into a desirable fantasy option.
May 26 - 9:41 PM

Justin Upton left Saturday's game against the Yankees with an undisclosed injury.

Chris Young pinch-hit for Upton in the sixth inning of a 6-4 game, so something is afoot. Upton had been hit by a Sonny Gray pitch earlier in the game. The Angels should provide an update soon.
May 26 - 9:24 PM

Ian Kennedy yielded two runs in five innings and did not factor into the decision against the Rangers on Saturday.

He surrendered five hits and three walks while striking out four in the ballgame. He allowed an RBI-single to Isiah Kiner-Falefa in the third inning and an RBI-double to Joey Gallo in the fourth. It took him 90 pitches to complete five frames. His record holds at 1-5 with a 5.15 ERA and 1.54 WHIP after 11 starts. He does have 54 strikeouts in 57 2/3 innings but he isn't likely to win many games for a struggling Royals squad this year.
May 26 - 9:19 PM

Lorenzo Cain went 3-for-4 with an RBI single, two walks and three runs scored in Saturday's win over the Mets.

Wonderful game for Cain, whose RBI single in the seventh inning served as the cherry on top of a large run-scoring sundae for the Brewers, putting the cap on a seven-run frame for the home team and giving them their final run in what ended as a 17-6 laugher. In his first season with the Brewers, the veteran outfielder is working to a .291/.396/.453 triple-slash to pair with six home runs, 16 RBI, 33 runs scored and 11 steals over the course of 49 games played. He's been exactly as advertised since the Brewers brought him in over the winter.
May 26 - 9:16 PM

Tim Anderson yanked two longballs, drove in four runs and scored three times during Saturday's 8-4 win over the Tigers.

He also made three errors in the contest but his fantasy owners don't care one bit. He popped a solo dinger off starter Francisco Liriano in the fifth inning, then topped that by belting a three-run jack off reliever Louis Coleman in the next frame. He also walked and scored a third run in the ballgame. The leadoff batter has added considerable power this year and is stealing bases at a rapid clip as well. He has a .246 batting average with 10 homers, 18 RBI and 26 runs. He's swiped 11 bases and has been caught only once.
