Tajh Boyd has signed with the Florida Blacktips of the Fall Experimental Football League.
A sixth-round pick of the Jets, Boyd couldn't beat out Matt Simms for the No. 3 quarterback job and was released during final cuts. He'll look to continue his career after failing to get any practice squad offers. Boyd could eventually resurface on a reserve/futures contract.
Saints WR Joe Morgan (knee) is probable for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
Morgan returned to practice Friday and is expected to play this week. He should see playing time in four-wide sets.
Hakeem Nicks (illness) is officially listed as questionable for Week 3.
Nicks will likely come down to a game-time decision after missing practice the last two days. Even if he plays, Nicks is no more than a WR4 for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
Cowboys TE Gavin Escobar (knee) is listed as questionable for Week 3.
Escobar practiced on a limited basis throughout the week and is expected to be available for Sunday's matchup with the Rams. He has just one catch on two targets through two games.
Bears WR Josh Morgan (groin) is listed as probable for Week 3.
Morgan will return after missing last week's game. He'll be the No. 4 receiver behind Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffery, and Santonio Holmes.
The Miami Herald suggests Mike Pouncey (hip) could be moved to guard.
Pouncey practiced on a limited basis this week, but is not going to play in Sunday's game. He's a candidate to move to right guard when healthy, which would give Miami its best offensive line combination. Pouncey is on track to return in Week 4.
CSN Bay Area reports 49ers TE Derek Carrier is expected to start in Week 3 against the Cardinals.
Vernon Davis (ankle) and Vance McDonald (knee) remain questionable, but seem likely to be held out after the 49ers promoted TE Asante Cleveland from the practice squad. Carrier had 41 yards on three catches filling in last week and is worth a look as a streaming option.
Chargers RB Branden Oliver will be active for Sunday's game against the Bills.
Oliver will be the No. 3 back behind Danny Woodhead and Donald Brown. He earned a spot on the 53-man roster over sixth-rounder Marion Grice after averaging 4.6 YPC during the preseason. Oliver will return kickoffs, but should see limited snaps on offense.
