Alex Bregman hit a game-winning double in the bottom of the ninth Monday against the Rays.

That's 12 in a row for the Astros. Bregman had been 0-for-4 before delivering his 22nd double of the year off Sergio Romo in the bottom of the ninth. He's up to 40 RBI to go along with 43 runs scored in 71 games. He's probably not going to end the season among the league leaders in any traditional category, but his all-around production makes him a top fantasy infielder.

Gerrit Cole allowed four runs in seven innings Monday in a no-decision against the Rays.

Cole could have been tagged with just his second loss of the year, but a ninth-inning rally let him off the hook. He's still keeping the Astros in games every time out, but he has a 4.09 ERA in his last seven starts after coming in at 1.43 in his first eight.

Sergio Romo gave up two runs in the ninth to the Astros to take a blown save and a loss on Monday.

Romo, who had pitched 5 2/3 scoreless innings this month, opened the inning with a walk, which was followed by a single and a sac bunt. The bases were then loaded on catcher's interference, after which Alex Bregman ended the game with a two-run double. Romo had been 3-for-3 in save chances in recent weeks, but he's still not a very good choice to face quality left-handed hitters with the game on the line. Chaz Roe remains a candidate for save chances.

Jose Altuve went 3-for-4 with a double, a steal and two runs scored Monday against the Rays.

Altuve is batting .424 with three homers, 22 runs scored, 15 RBI and seven steals over his last 23 games. He was a fantasy disappointment for two months, but he's justifying his lofty price tag lately.

Wilson Ramos hit a two-run homer and walked against the Astros on Monday.

He took Gerrit Cole deep in the first inning tonight. Ramos had been 10-for-51 with one homer this month.

C.J. Cron - DH - Rays

C.J. Cron went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts against the Astros in Monday's loss.

Cron has a .761 OPS that's pretty much a match for the .751 that Brad Miller posted before he was unceremoniously designated for assignment. However, he leads the team in homers (by six) and in RBI, so he shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Nick Williams told Phillies' manager Gabe Kapler that he was fine after leaving Monday's game after getting hit in the face by a ball that bounced off of the outfield fence.

It's unclear if Williams actually had any X-rays done, or if he was simply referring to the pain that he was experiencing, but it sounds like he's going to be okay. Consider the outfielder day-to-day.
Jun 18 - 11:30 PM

Trevor Bauer blanked the White Sox for seven innings to earn his sixth win of the season on Monday.

It seems like a fluke that Bauer has allowed just five homers in 100 2/3 innings, but there's no arguing with a 31-percent strikeout rate. His ERA is down to 2.50 now.
