Matt Moore surrendered four runs in six innings and came away without a decision against the Padres on Saturday.

It has been a rough season for the former elite prospect, but he pitched well today except for one bad inning. All four runs he allowed came home in the fourth frame. It started with a solo home run off the bat of Wil Myers, followed by three singles and then a triple by opposing pitcher Luis Perdomo. On the good side, Moore was able to punch out seven batters without issuing a base-on-balls in the contest. He owns a dreadful 3-10 record and a 5.82 ERA. Coming into today's game he had a 4.20 ERA at home and a 7.61 ERA on the road this year.

Wil Myers cracked a solo home run and finished the day 1-for-5 in Saturday's extra-inning loss to the Giants.

He went yard off starter Matt Moore to get the Padres on the board in the fourth inning. It was his 19th longball of the year. He hit 28 of them last year and will likely end up near that number again. The well-rounded, five-category producer is slashing .252/.332/.471 with 46 RBI, 51 runs scored and 10 stolen bases.

According to Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post, Pedro Severino will be called up from Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday.

Jacoby Ellsbury is not in the Yankees' lineup Saturday against the Mariners.

This really isn't that newsworthy. Ellsbury hasn't been an everyday player for the Yankees in quite some time and should continue to serve as their fourth outfielder behind starters Clint Frazier, Brett Gardner and Aaron Judge. The 33-year-old has hit .125 with no home runs or RBI since the All-Star break. He's not of much use to fantasy owners anymore.

Luis Perdomo let in four runs -- one earned -- through six innings and settled for a no-decision as his team lost to the Giants in extra innings on Saturday.

He surrendered eight base hits and two walks while striking out four in the ballgame. An error on shortstop Allen Cordoba led to three unearned runs in the fourth inning. Perdomo helped himself at the plate by driving in two runs with a triple in the fourth inning. Prior to last season Perdomo was plucked from the Cardinals' system as a Rule 5 draft pick and jumped from Single-A ball straight to the major leagues. His record holds at 4-5 with a 4.94 ERA and 1.54 WHIP in 16 starts this season. He has 73 strikeouts and 35 walks in 91 2/3 innings.

Yankees recalled INF Tyler Wade from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

He's replacing Starlin Castro, who is headed back to the DL after aggravating his strained hamstring. Wade has struggled at the big league level this season, hitting just .107 with 10 strikeouts in 28 at-bats. Look for him and Ronald Torreyes to share playing time at second base during Castro's absence.
