Albert Pujols went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI in a win over the Rangers on Sunday.

Pujols continues to rake in the month of July, as Sunday was his eighth multi-hit game in 14 contests this month. He's 22-for-59 (.373) with 14 runs scored and 15 RBI in that span. It's part of an overall resurgence for the 34-year-old, who's hitting .279/.325/.491 with 64 RBI and 58 runs scored this year.

Dodgers optioned RHP Pedro Baez to Triple-A Albuquerque.

The 26-year-old right-hander appeared in two games during his time with the Dodgers, allowing a pair of runs on two hits, while striking out two. He should get another chance to work in middle relief for the Dodgers in the second half of the season.

Joey Gallo was named MVP of the Futures Game on Sunday after his towering two-run homer led Team USA to a 3-2 victory over the World Team at Target Field in Minnesota.

The USA team had fallen behind in the top half of the sixth inning when Javier Baez smashed a two-run homer of his own, but Gallo's answer in the bottom half of the inning was too much for the World Squad to overcome. The 20-year-old slugger is hitting an absurd .307/.434/.703 with 31 homers and 73 RBI over 85 games between High-A Myrtle Beach and Double-A Frisco this season.

Scott Baker allowed nine hits and five runs over four innings in a loss to the Angels on Sunday.

Baker owns a 6.24 ERA and 1.28 WHIP over 53 1/3 innings this season. The 32-year-old shouldn't be rostered in any formats.
Jul 13 - 8:19 PM

Tyler Skaggs gave up six runs on seven hits over five innings but went home with the win against the Rangers on Sunday.

It wasn't impressive, but the left-hander will take it -- Sunday's win was his first since May 20. After getting off to a fast start, Skaggs enters the break with a 5-5 record, 4.50 ERA and 1.25 WHIP. He's shown flashes of being a nice fantasy contributor, but until he does it regularly he won't be much more than an AL-only option this season.
Jul 13 - 8:16 PM

Robbie Ray is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Toledo to start the first game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Indians.

Ray has appeared in four games with the Tigers this season (three starts), posting a 4.70 ERA, 1.63 WHIP and 9/6 K/BB ratio over 15 1/3 innings. He makes for an interesting streaming option against an Indians squad that has had their difficulties against left-handed pitching.
Jul 13 - 8:14 PM

Chris Johnson had three hits -- including a home run -- three RBI and three runs scored in the Braves' 10-7 win over the Cubs on Sunday.

It's been a big few days for the third baseman, who's got three home runs, seven RBI and five runs scored over the past two games. The strong finish to the first half leaves Johnson with a .277/.301/.378 line. Johnson hit 15 home runs in 488 at-bats in 2012, so maybe the sudden outburst bodes well for his power production in the second half.
Jul 13 - 8:11 PM

Chris Coghlan went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's loss to the Braves.

Coghlan has been an absolute force in July, going 20-for-46 (.435) with three homers, 12 RBI and 14 runs scored. Coghlan has also stolen two bases. Coghlan has had some good offensive seasons in the past, so this isn't completely unprecedented, and he's an intriguing mixed league option in deeper leagues in the second half.
