Mike Pouncey (hip) returned to Dolphins practice on Tuesday.

It's Pouncey's first practice since he went down in OTAs. He'll likely be listed as "limited," but it's a huge step in the right direction. Pouncey is unlikely to suit up for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, but has been targeting a Week 4 return since August. If Pouncey isn't quite right next week, the Dolphins could elect to hold him out until after their Week 5 bye.

Rookie TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins (foot) remained out of Bucs practice Tuesday.

Seferian-Jenkins isn't looking good for Thursday night's game against the Falcons. It will be his second-straight absence if he can't suit up. Brandon Myers had just two catches for 33 yards in Sunday's loss to the Rams.

Doug Martin (knee) participated in Tuesday's practice, and was running with the first-team offense.

It's a sign the Bucs fully expect Martin to go for Thursday night's game against the Falcons. The question is what his role will be. Martin struggled mightily in Week 1, while backup Bobby Rainey went off against the Rams in his absence in Week 2. For now, owners should consider Martin a borderline RB2 against a Falcons run defense that's been gashed through the season's first two games.

Dan Fox - LB - Giants

Giants promoted LB Dan Fox from the practice squad.

It's a sign the G-Men don't expect MLB Jon Beason (toe) back any time soon. Fox is an undrafted rookie out of Notre Dame.

Josh Gordon has pled guilty to DWI charges in Wake County, North Carolina, and been sentenced to 12 months of unsupervised probation.

He must also pay a $390 fine. The league's new drug policy mandates a two-game suspension for players who are convicted or plead out in drunk-driving cases, but Gordon's arrest occurred under the old policy. Per Profootballtalk, he'll only be subject to a fine, and won't have his current 10-game ban lengthened. NFL.com's Albert Breer reports Gordon has been "assured" that's the case. It means he's still on track to return in Week 12, and no longer has any outstanding legal issues. Now hopefully Gordon can stay on the straight and narrow.

Jaguars waived RT Cameron Bradfield.

The Jaguars' fill-in right tackle while Austin Pasztor recovers from hand surgery, Bradfield got positively roasted in Sunday's loss to the Redskins, a game where the Jags surrendered a hard-to-fathom 10 sacks. Bradfield was charged with two of those by Pro Football Focus. Bradfield also struggled in Week 1 against the Eagles. The Jags figure to turn to journeyman Sam Young until Pasztor returns. It's unlikely to be a major upgrade. Bradfield has 27 games of starting experience, but could easily pass through waivers unclaimed.

A source tells CSN Bay Area that Vernon Davis has avoided a significant left ankle injury.

Davis' Monday MRI revealed a deep bruise and no structural damage, meaning he could suit up for Sunday's Week 3 game against the Cardinals. It sounds like a mild, "low" kind of sprain. If Davis does have to sit a game out, the 49ers may have to turn to Derek Carrier at tight end with Vance McDonald (knee) questionable.

Julio Jones (ankle) is practicing Tuesday.

Jones does not appear to be in any danger of missing Thursday's tasty matchup with the Bucs. He'll get a little boost if Roddy White (hamstring) is forced to sit.
