Eagles coach Doug Pederson confirmed Carson Wentz suffered a torn ACL and is out for the season.

Dec 11 - 12:11 PM

Cameron Brate played 25-of-71 (35 percent) snaps Week 14 against the Lions.

Lost in his two-touchdown resurgence last week was Brate playing just 42 percent of the snaps, and he dipped even lower this week. Brate has now been out-snapped by O.J. Howard 111-to-57 the last two games and has been targeted one fewer time. This is a situation to avoid in the fantasy semifinals.
Dec 11 - 11:41 AM

Garrett Celek hauled in 2-of-4 targets for 67 yards and a touchdown in the 49ers' Week 14 win over the Texans.

It was Celek's second 67-yard, one-score performance in the last four games, and the tight end got there with a great catch-and-run for 61 yards in the third quarter before finishing up the drive with a six-yard touchdown. Perhaps more importantly moving forward, Celek out-snapped rookie George Kittle 61-to-20 in the win. Still, he will not be a trustworthy streaming option against the Titans in the fantasy semifinals.
Dec 11 - 11:11 AM

Jamaal Williams played 50-of-76 (66 percent) snaps Week 14 against the Browns.

Aaron Jones only played eight a week after being out-snapped 48-to-2 by Williams. Even with Jones healthy, this is very clearly Williams' backfield, and that role should only become more valuable with Aaron Rodgers expected to return this week. Even in a tough matchup against the Panthers, Williams will be an upside RB2.

Arizona Sports 98.7's Mike Jurecki reports the Cardinals have "reached out" to Blaine Gabbert about a contract extension.

GM Steve Keim said Monday there is not "any question" the team would like to have Gabbert back. The former first-rounder signed a one-year deal in May to be the No. 3 quarterback, but injuries to both Carson Palmer and Drew Stanton thrust him into the starting role and perhaps even more. With Palmer's future uncertain, the Cardinals are in desperate need for at the very least a bridge quarterback, and it looks like they think Gabbert can be that guy. He certainly looked the part in his first two starts including an impressive performance against Jacksonville, but he has looked a lot more like Blaine Gabbert the last two weeks. Still, it makes sense to keep him around as Arizona searches for their quarterback of the future.
Dec 11 - 10:17 AM

Texans coach Bill O'Brien said he expects T.J. Yates to start Week 15 against the Jaguars.

This always appeared to be the likely outcome after Tom Savage suffered a nasty-looking concussion against the 49ers. Yates played relatively well after entering the game, hooking up with DeAndre Hopkins for two touchdowns, but he will face a considerably more difficult test this week in Jacksonville. The Jaguars DST will certainly be highly owned in DFS.

Vikings LT Riley Reiff (ankle) was spotted in a walking boot following the Week 14 loss to the Panthers.

Reiff limped off the field in the third quarter before riding a cart into the locker room. Coach Mike Zimmer did not have an update after the game, but the boot is obviously a concern. With RT Mike Remmers still sidelined with a back injury and C Pat Elflein dealing with a shoulder issue, the Vikings suddenly have big questions along the offensive line heading into a matchup with the Bengals this week.
Dec 11 - 10:02 AM

NBC Sports Boston's Phil Perry reports Chris Hogan (shoulder, questionable) will play Monday night against the Dolphins.

ESPN's Mike Reiss reported the same on Sunday. Trusting players coming back from a long injury layoff is always a risk, but the Patriots need Hogan to play a big role with Rob Gronkowski suspended. Hogan will be an upside WR3 on Monday night.
