The Broncos are interviewing Wade Phillips for their defensive coordinator vacancy.

The 67-year-old Phillips is the best candidate remaining on the market. His most recent defensive coordinator work came in Houston under new Broncos coach Gary Kubiak, where he inherited the league's No. 30 unit in 2011 and turned them into an annual top-7 unit. Phillips also has ties to Denver, as he was John Elway's head coach from 1993-94. He should jump at the chance to work with a talented group headlined by Von Miller, Chris Harris, Aqib Talib and DeMarcus Ware.

The Patriots have reportedly not ruled out picking up Darrelle Revis' $20M team option for 2015.

Revis' first year in New England couldn't have gone better. He played at an All-Pro level once again, helping Bill Belichick scheme up ways to stop the enemy's top weapon weekly and get back to the Super Bowl. It's possible the two sides will work out a long-term extension before April 1, when Revis' $12M roster bonus for 2015 is due. It's perfect match.

A source tells PFT that the "Deflategate" video shows a locker room attendant taking two bags of footballs into a bathroom.

The bags contained 12 balls to be used by the Patriots and 12 balls to be used by the Colts. The video does not show what went on in the stall, but attendant is in the bathroom for approximately 90 seconds. The Patriots turned this tape over to the Warren Commission, who will now scour the grassy knoll for more evidence. Expect the attendant to fall on his sword a la Lee Harvey Oswald, declining to incriminate Bill Belichick or Tom Brady.

Bryan Broaddus of the Cowboys' official website thinks Mark Ingram could be an option to replace fellow impending free agent DeMarco Murray.

The chances of Murray re-signing with Dallas seem extremely long, as he should be following the cash. The Cowboys don't have the cash to line Murray's pockets. Ingram also won't be coming cheap, but he won't be as expensive as Murray. If Ingram lands in Dallas behind that offensive line and in OC Scott Linehan's scheme, he'd be flirting with RB1 numbers on a weekly basis. Ingram is likely to command $3-5 million per year on the open market after his breakout 2014.

The Rams notified the Convention and Visitor's Commission of St. Louis that they'll go year-to-year on their lease with the Edward Jones Dome.

It's the expected procedural move, so this isn't earth-shattering news by any means. The Rams will remain in St. Louis for the 2015 season, but everything after that is up in the air. NFL Network's Albert Breer reported Monday that owner Stan Kroenke's stadium-plan designs in Inglewood, CA were met with "quiet applause" in the league office. St. Louis recently revealed its own stadium proposal, but financing the venue is a major hurdle. This story will remain an offseason headline.

Former Bears DC Mel Tucker has accepted a position as the secondary coach at Alabama.

It's quite the step down for Tucker, going from an NFL defensive coordinator to position coach at the college level. In Tuscaloosa, Tucker will work under Nick Saban, who is a maven of defensive backs himself.

Suspended WR Justin Blackmon pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge on November 20.

The charge will be reduced to misdemeanor disorderly conduct if Blackmon commits no crimes for six months after November 20. According to beat writer Michael DiRocco, the Jaguars need Blackmon to apply for reinstatement "within the next five weeks." From the date Blackmon fills out the application, Roger Goodell would have 60 days to decide whether to reinstate him to the NFL.

The player rep for free agent Justin Houston was seen meeting with Chiefs GM John Dorsey at last week's Senior Bowl.

It's a slow news day, indeed. Houston is repped by Joel Segal, who will surely seek top dollar for his client, arguably the top outside-edge pass rusher on the market. If Segal and Dorsey indeed met regarding Houston in Mobile, it's believed it was the first meeting of its kind since the Chiefs' season ended. Houston is going to want over $10 million per year.
