Daniel Ochefu (illness) did not practice on Monday.

Ochefu is a non-factor in the Wizards' rotation and can safely remain on the waiver wire in all leagues.

Jrue Holiday admitted that it's been tough to look for his own shot when he sees two dominate guys in the post, but he knows he needs to be more aggressive.

Upon the arrival of DeMarcus Cousins, Holiday's usage rate dipped to 22.7 (down from 24.4 pre-Boogie), but more importantly, he's seen his assist percentage nosedive to 28.1 (down from 36.5). Holiday is predictably going through an adjustment period as he learns to play alongside usage rate monsters Cousins and Anthony Davis, but with those guys dominating the offensive possessions, it could be tough for Holiday to close out the year as a top-50 guy.

Josh Huestis has been assigned to the Thunder's D-League affiliate.

The second-year forward has only made it onto the court one time this season, for a grand total of seven minutes.
Feb 27 - 2:13 PM

Terrence Jones reportedly had preliminary talks with the Celtics, but a deal is unlikely.

Boston would not be a good landing spot for Jones at all, so hopefully, nothing becomes of this report. Jones is in a contract year, so chances are he'll want to put himself in a situation where he can prove his worth. However, until he's actually in the "advanced discussion" phase of a new contract signing, he can remain on the waiver wire in most leagues.

Fred Hoiberg practiced with the starters and the reserves during Monday's practice.

Payne came off the bench in his Chicago debut on Saturday, but it looks like Hoiberg is at least toying with the idea of bringing him into the starting five. However, with three other point guards on the roster, it'll be tough for Payne to get enough minutes to make an impact in standard leagues.
Feb 27 - 2:04 PM

Victor Oladipo (back) was limited at Monday's practice.

He's missed two games in a row, but coach Billy Donovan said he's progressing well. The Thunder didn't provide much of an update, but we'll know more after Tuesday's shootaround. If Dipo misses another game, Alex Abrines looks like the clear beneficiary after logging 35 minutes on Sunday vs. the Pelicans with 13 points and three 3-pointers.
Feb 27 - 1:55 PM

Paul Zipser (ankle) did not practice on Monday and will miss Tuesday's game vs. the Nuggets.

This will be the rookie's seventh game in a row on the shelf. With Zipser out, Denzel Valentine will continue to soak up more minutes on the wing and is averaging 13.0 points, 4.0 3-pointers, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals over his last two games.
Feb 27 - 1:47 PM

Michael Carter-Williams (patellar tendinitis) did not practice on Monday and will miss Tuesday's game vs. Denver.

He still has some pain in his knee and doesn't have a timetable to return right now. With MCW expected to miss more time, Cameron Payne will get a chance to earn a larger role and Denzel Valentine will continue to be relevant in deeper leagues. MCW is a drop candidate in most leagues.
