Austin Seferian-Jenkins (shoulder) was limited in Bucs practice Thursday.
Seferian-Jenkins has been turning in limited practices for several weeks now, but hasn't played since Week 2. Still not cleared for contact, we're not holding our breath for Seferian-Jenkins to play Sunday against the Colts.
Jets OC Chan Gailey said he has not lost confidence in rookie WR Devin Smith.
Smith has struggled with ball security this season and was called out by coach Todd Bowles after dropping what would have been a 46-yard touchdown against the Texans last week. With Quincy Enunwa back from suspension, Smith should see limited snaps down the stretch.
Frank Gore (knee, quad) returned to practice Thursday.
Gore was not able to practice Wednesday, but this puts him on track to play. Gore did not look good struggling through his injuries last week, and he could be limited in a tough matchup against the Bucs. With Ahmad Bradshaw taking on a bigger workload, Gore is more of a back-end RB2 this week.
John Brown (hamstring) is practicing Thursday.
Brown missed Wednesday's session, but this practice puts him on track to play this week. Brown has not played well while dealing with injuries to both hamstrings, but he will be a WR3 in a good matchup against the 49ers.
Redskins CB Chris Culliver injured his right knee in practice Thursday and will undergo an MRI.
Culliver has had issues with his left knee this season and needed an MRI on his shoulder earlier this week. He was spotted wearing a full brace on his right leg after practice. Culliver has toughed his way through injuries several times, but this one may knock him out of Week 12. DeAngelo Hall would be thrust back into the starting lineup if Culliver misses.
Texans CB Kareem Jackson (ankle) is expected to play Week 12 against the Saints.
Jackson has been sidelined since Week 6. His return will bolster a Houston defense which has played extremely well the last three weeks.
FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports Johnny Manziel was demoted for lying about when the 30-second video showing him partying was shot.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Browns asked Manziel to stay around the facility and lay low during the bye week. Coach Mike Pettine stressed the reason for Manziel's benching was not the video but a breach of trust, and this backstory helps explain that sentiment. Rapoport also reports the Browns are not closing the door on Manziel at this time. That may be true, but Johnny is quickly running out of chances.
ESPN Giants reporter Dan Graziano said newly-signed WR Hakeem Nicks could be inactive Week 12.
Nicks spent his best seasons with the Giants, but the offense has changed dramatically under new-OC Ben McAdoo. Even once he learns the offense enough to be active, nothing Nicks has shown the last three seasons suggests he will be a fantasy factor. He can be left on the wire.
