Matt Jones rushed eight times for 19 yards and caught his only target for 45 yards Week 12 against the Giants.
Jones did not record a touch in the first quarter, but he contributed a big gain on a screen pass in the second quarter and saw more work in the second half. He still struggled to create anything on the ground. If looking for a positive, Jones managed to touch the ball nine times without fumbling. With Morris getting more work on early downs and Chris Thompson still involved, Jones is not involved enough to be a shallow-league option.
Julio Jones secured 5-of-7 targets for 56 yards in the Falcons' Week 12 loss to the Vikings.
A disappointment for Minnesota all year, Vikings CB Xavier Rhodes really showed up for this one. It was easily his best performance all season. Assigned to shadow Julio, Rhodes maintained tight coverage on Jones even on his receptions. Look for Jones to bounce back when the Falcons take on the Buccaneers in Week 13.
Alfred Morris rushed 23 times for 78 yards and caught his only target for 12 yards Week 12 against the Giants.
Morris started the game and dominated touches in the first quarter as Matt Jones rode the bench, gaining 22 yards on four carries early and adding a 12-yard catch. He struggled to find running room most of the rest of the game, but he came alive somewhat with the Redskins in clock-killing mode in the fourth quarter. Sunday’s game flow was about as perfect as it could be for Morris to have a big game, and he managed just 90 total yards. He will be a low-upside RB3 at best against the Cowboys on Monday night.
Jeremy Maclin caught 9-of-11 targets for 160 yards and one touchdown in the Chiefs' 30-22, Week 12 win over the Bills.
Maclin had been held to three catches for less than 50 yards in four-straight games coming into this one. Bills-Chiefs was expected to be a defensive struggle and more focused on each offense's running game. That wasn't the case, however, as both Maclin and Sammy Watkins went bonkers in a game that combined for five passing scores. Maclin's first big play was a 37-yard catch behind fill-in CB Mario Butler to set up Spencer Ware's short rushing score two plays later. Maclin later ran right by rookie CB Ronald Darby for a 41-yard touchdown, and beat veteran Stephon Gilmore for another long gain, getting away with a push-off. With the Bills being so aggressive, Alex Smith dialed up an unusually-high number of deep balls for his standards. Maclin will be a WR2 next week against the Raiders.
Roddy White secured 6-of-8 targets for 60 yards in the Falcons' Week 12 loss to the Vikings.
White got more action than usual as Vikings CB Xavier Rhodes played his best game of the season against Julio Jones (5-56). A low-upside possession target in the Falcons' offense, declining role-player White won't be a fantasy option when Atlanta takes on Tampa Bay in Week 13.
Kirk Cousins completed 20-of-29 passes for 302 yards, a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown in the Redskins' Week 12 win against the Giants.
Cousins came into the game struggling with the deep pass, but he threw a nice ball to DeSean Jackson for a 63-yard touchdown in the second quarter. He finished up the quarter with a touchdown on a quarterback sneak from the goal line, and the Redskins never looked back from there. Cousins did not take many deep shots outside of the Jackson touchdown, but he routinely found receivers running free for big gains on crossing patterns and got a big play on a screen pass to Matt Jones. Despite the good day, Cousins will not a starting option in what should be a low-paced game Monday night against the Cowboys.
Jacob Tamme secured 5-of-6 targets for 69 yards in the Falcons' Week 12 loss to the Vikings.
Tamme has been the Falcons' primary checkdown pass catcher whenever Leonard Hankerson (hamstring) has been inactive this season. That continued on Sunday as Tamme led Atlanta in receiving while Xavier Rhodes put clamps on Julio Jones (5-56). If Hankerson misses Week 13 against the Buccaneers, Tamme will remain one of the top TE1 streamer plays on the board.
Eli Manning completed 26-of-51 passes for 321 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions in the Giants' Week 12 loss to the Redskins.
Manning was absolutely terrible in this one. He threw three picks and had at least three more which could have been intercepted against a defense with six interceptions total entering the game. The first interception was a bad drop by Shane Vereen, but the next two were bad throws. Eli saved his fantasy day with a 40-yard touchdown to Rueben Randle on fourth down and a 21-yard touchdown to Odell Beckham late in the game, but it was too little too late. Manning put up a terrible performance on a day the Giants could have taken control of the division. Despite the bad day, Manning will remain a back-end QB1 next week against the Jets.
