Jake Odorizzi's next start has been pushed back to next Monday against the Marlins.

Odorizzi originally lined up to face the Yankees on Sunday, but Alex Cobb will get the call instead. The 23-year-old right-hander gave up three runs in five innings Monday against the Indians and makes for a fine streaming option in mixed leagues now that he has a favorable matchup against Miami.

Alex Cobb will move up a day in the rotation to start Sunday against the Yankees.

Jake Odorizzi was originally on turn for the assignment, but he will start Monday against the Marlins instead. Cobb allowed one run in 6 1/3 innings in Tuesday's win over the Blue Jays and holds a 2.73 ERA through nine starts this season.

Zack Wheeler allowed three runs in five innings Wednesday for Triple-A Las Vegas in his return to action.

Cleared of his recent clavicle issue, it was his first start since May 11. Wheeler threw a total of 67 pitches and allowed five hits and two walks while striking out two. He also hit a batter. Given the long layoff, the results shouldn't be taken too critically. Still, the Mets want to see another solid string of starts before he is called up to the majors. We're still guessing he'll be up in mid-June.

David Ross (concussion) is hopeful to begin a minor league rehab assignment Thursday with Double-A Portland.

Ross hasn't played since May 11 due to concussion-related symptoms. However, he has increased activity in recent days and could rejoin the Red Sox this weekend if all goes well.

Red Sox manager John Farrell said on WEEI in Boston that Shane Victorino (hamstring) is out of the lineup again Wednesday.

Victorino hasn't played since he left Monday's game with left hamstring tightness, but Farrell said he is "moving in the right direction." Consider him day-to-day.

Orioles acquired INF Josh Horton from the Athletics for a player to be named later or cash considerations.

Horton, 27, is a .274/.349/.369 hitter over parts of seven seasons in the minors. He'll function as organizational depth.

Brandon Belt is out of Wednesday's lineup due to back tightness.

It isn't a major concern, but Giants manager Bruce Bochy didn't want to take any chances. Consider him day-to-day for now. Brett Pill is filling in at first base Wednesday.

Rafael Betancourt (groin) will not require a trip to the disabled list.

Betancourt left Tuesday's game with a tight right groin, but it's merely some scar tissue from a previous injury. He was given anti-inflammatory medication and could be back in there as soon as Friday. Rex Brothers and Wilton Lopez could be in the mix for save chances until he's ready to go, but it doesn't sound like he'll have a lengthy absence.
